New American Standard Bible 1995 (NASB1995)
Version
Psalm 124

Praise for Rescue from Enemies.

A Song of Ascents, of David.

124 (A)Had it not been the Lord who was on our side,”
(B)Let Israel now say,
“Had it not been the Lord who was on our side
When men rose up against us,
Then they would have (C)swallowed us alive,
When their (D)anger was kindled against us;
Then the (E)waters would have engulfed us,
The stream would have [a]swept over our soul;
Then the (F)raging waters would have [b]swept over our soul.”

Blessed be the Lord,
Who has not given us [c]to be (G)torn by their teeth.
Our soul has (H)escaped (I)as a bird out of the (J)snare of the trapper;
The snare is broken and we have escaped.
Our (K)help is in the name of the Lord,
Who (L)made heaven and earth.

Proverbs 7:1-4

The Wiles of the Harlot

My son, (A)keep my words
And treasure my commandments within you.
(B)Keep my commandments and live,
And my [a]teaching (C)as the [b]apple of your eye.
(D)Bind them on your fingers;
(E)Write them on the tablet of your heart.
Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,”
And call understanding your intimate friend;

Ephesians 4:7-16

But (A)to each one of us (B)grace was given (C)according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore [a]it says,

(D)When He ascended on high,
He (E)led captive a host of captives,
And He gave gifts to men.”

(Now this expression, “He (F)ascended,” what [b]does it mean except that He also [c]had descended into (G)the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is Himself also He who ascended (H)far above all the heavens, so that He might (I)fill all things.) 11 And He (J)gave (K)some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as (L)evangelists, and some as pastors and (M)teachers, 12 (N)for the equipping of the [d]saints for the work of service, to the building up of (O)the body of Christ; 13 until we all attain to (P)the unity of the faith, and of the [e](Q)knowledge of the Son of God, to a (R)mature man, to the measure of the stature [f]which belongs to the (S)fullness of Christ. 14 [g]As a result, we are (T)no longer to be children, (U)tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by (V)craftiness [h]in (W)deceitful scheming; 15 but [i]speaking the truth (X)in love, [j]we are to (Y)grow up in all aspects into Him who is the (Z)head, even Christ, 16 from whom (AA)the whole body, being fitted and held together [k]by what every joint supplies, according to the [l]proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself (AB)in love.
