Remember His Holy Name
97 (A)Yahweh [a]reigns, let the (B)earth rejoice;
Let the many (C)coastlands be glad.
2 (D)Clouds and thick darkness are all around Him;
(E)Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.
3 (F)Fire goes before Him
And (G)burns up His adversaries all around.
4 His (H)lightnings light up the world;
The earth sees and (I)trembles.
5 The mountains (J)melt like wax at the presence of Yahweh,
At the presence of the (K)Lord of all the earth.
6 The (L)heavens declare His righteousness,
And (M)all the peoples see His glory.
7 Let all those be ashamed who serve (N)graven images,
Who boast of (O)idols;
[b](P)Worship Him, all you [c]gods!
8 Zion [d]heard this and (Q)was glad,
And the daughters of Judah have rejoiced
Because of Your judgments, O Yahweh.
9 For You are Yahweh (R)Most High over all the earth;
You are exalted far (S)above all [e]gods.
10 (T)Hate evil, you who love Yahweh,
Who (U)keeps the souls of His holy ones;
He (V)delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
11 (W)Light is sown for the righteous
And (X)gladness for the upright in heart.
12 Be (Y)glad in Yahweh, you righteous ones,
And (Z)give thanks for the remembrance of [f]His holy name.
18 (A)Then [a]Moses said, “I pray You, show me Your glory!” 19 And He said, “(B)I Myself will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of Yahweh before you; and (C)I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will show compassion on whom I will show compassion.” 20 But He said, “You cannot see My face, (D)for no man can see Me and live!” 21 Then Yahweh said, “Behold, there is a place [b]by Me, and (E)you shall stand there on the rock; 22 and it will come about, while My glory is passing by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock and (F)cover you with My hand until I have passed by. 23 Then I will remove My hand, and you shall see My back, but (G)My face shall not be seen.”
The Word Became Flesh
14 And (A)the Word (B)became flesh, and [a](C)dwelt among us, and (D)we beheld His glory, glory as of the [b]only begotten from the Father, full of (E)grace and (F)truth. 15 John *(G)bore witness about Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘(H)He who comes after me [c]has been ahead of me, (I)for He existed before me.’” 16 For of His (J)fullness [d]we have all received, and grace [e]upon grace. 17 For (K)the Law was given through Moses; (L)grace and (M)truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 (N)No one has seen God at any time; (O)the only begotten God who is (P)in the bosom of the Father, (Q)He has explained Him.
