Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
The Lord, the Psalmist’s Shepherd.
A Psalm of David.
23 The Lord is my (A)shepherd,
I [a]shall (B)not want.
2 He makes me lie down in (C)green pastures;
He (D)leads me beside [b](E)quiet waters.
3 He (F)restores my soul;
He (G)guides me in the [c](H)paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4 Even though I (I)walk through the [d]valley of the shadow of death,
I (J)fear no [e]evil, for (K)You are with me;
Your (L)rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You (M)prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You [f]have (N)anointed my head with oil;
My (O)cup overflows.
6 [g]Surely (P)goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will [h](Q)dwell in the house of the Lord [i]forever.
Israel Regathered
25 ‘Thus says the Lord God, “When I (A)gather the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and will manifest My holiness in them in the sight of the nations, then they will (B)live in their [a]land which I gave to My servant Jacob. 26 They will (C)live in it securely; and they will (D)build houses, plant vineyards and live securely when I (E)execute judgments upon all who scorn them round about them. Then they will know that I am the Lord their God.”’”
29 And do not seek what you will eat and what you will drink, and do not (A)keep worrying. 30 For [a]all these things the nations of the world eagerly seek; but your Father knows that you need these things. 31 But seek His kingdom, and (B)these things will be added to you. 32 (C)Do not be afraid, (D)little flock, for (E)your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom.
