Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
The Lord Is My Shepherd
A Psalm of David.
23 The Lord is my (A)shepherd; I shall not (B)want.
2 He makes me lie down in green (C)pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.[a]
3 He (D)restores my soul.
He (E)leads me in (F)paths of righteousness[b]
for his (G)name's sake.
4 Even though I (H)walk through the valley of (I)the shadow of death,[c]
I will (J)fear no evil,
for (K)you are with me;
your (L)rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You (M)prepare a table before me
in (N)the presence of my enemies;
you (O)anoint my head with oil;
my (P)cup overflows.
6 Surely[d] goodness and mercy[e] shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall (Q)dwell[f] in the house of the Lord
(R)for ever.[g]
Israel Gathered in Security
25 “Thus says the Lord God: (A)When I gather the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and (B)manifest my holiness in them in the sight of the nations, (C)then they shall dwell in their own land that I gave to my servant Jacob. 26 (D)And they shall dwell securely in it, and they shall build houses and plant vineyards. They shall dwell securely, (E)when I execute judgements upon all their neighbours (F)who have treated them with contempt. (G)Then they will know that I am the Lord their God.”
29 And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor (A)be worried. 30 For (B)all the nations of the world seek after these things, and (C)your Father knows that you need them. 31 Instead, (D)seek (E)his[a] kingdom, (F)and these things will be added to you.
32 (G)“Fear not, little (H)flock, for (I)it is your Father's good pleasure to give you (J)the kingdom.
