Mary Rejoices Over God Her Savior

46 And Mary said, “My soul magnifies[a] the Lord, 47 and my spirit rejoiced-greatly over God my Savior. 48 Because He looked-upon[b] the lowliness[c] of His slave, for behold— from now on, all generations will consider me blessed[d], 49 because the Powerful One did great things for me. And His name is holy. 50 And His mercy to generations and generations is on the ones fearing Him. 51 He did a mighty-deed[e] with His arm. He scattered ones proud[f] in the thought[g] of their heart. 52 He brought-down rulers from their thrones, and lifted-up lowly ones. 53 He filled ones being hungry with good things, and sent ones being rich away empty. 54 He helped Israel His servant so that He might remember[h] mercy, 55 just as He spoke to our fathers— to Abraham, and to his seed forever”.

For We Were Eyewitnesses of Christ’s Majesty And Glory

16 For we made-known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ not having followed-after cleverly-devised myths, but having been made[a] eyewitnesses of the majesty of that One. 17 For He having received from God the Father the honor and glory of such a voice[b] having been carried[c] to Him by the Majestic Glory— “This is My Son, My Beloved, in Whom I was[d] well-pleased” 18 we ourselves also heard this voice having been carried out of heaven, being with Him on the holy mountain.

And We Have God’s Prophetic Word More Firm

19 And we have the prophetic[e] word as more-firm[f], to which you are doing well to be paying-attention as to a lamp shining in a dismal[g] place, until which time the day dawns and the morning-star rises in your hearts, 20 knowing this first— that no prophecy of Scripture comes[h] from one’s own[i] interpretation[j]. 21 For no prophecy was ever carried[k] by the will of a human, but people being carried by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
