33 彼拉多回到府里，叫来耶稣，问他道∶“你是犹太人的王吗？”
34 耶稣说∶“是你自己想这么问，还是有人告诉过你有关我的事情呢？”
35 彼拉多说∶“你认为我是犹太人吗？是你自己的同胞和祭司长把你交给我的，你做了什么错事？”
36 耶稣说∶“我的王国不属于这个世界，如果我的王国属于这个世界，我的仆人就会为我而战，我也不会落到犹太首领的手中去了。实际上，我的王国不在这里。”
37 彼拉多对他说∶“那你是国王了？”
耶稣回答∶“你说我是国王，说的很对。我为此而生，为此而来到这个世上，目的就是为真理作证。属于真理的人都会听我的话。”
