提 摩 太 前 書 5:1-8
5 不可斥责老年人，对长辈讲话要像对父亲讲话一样；对待年青的男人要如同兄弟。 2 对待年长的妇女要像对待母亲一样；对待年轻的妇女要怀着一颗纯洁的心，像待姐妹一样。
关心寡妇
3 要关心真正守寡的妇女。 4 如果寡妇有儿女子孙，这些后辈首先应该学会照顾好自己的家庭，报答父母和祖辈，使他们的宗教信仰付诸于实践，因为这会使上帝喜悦。 5 真正守寡无人照顾的妇女会把希望寄托于上帝，日日夜夜地祈求与祷告； 6 沉醉于享乐的寡妇虽生犹死。 7 你要把这些指示告诉给她们，免得让人批评她们。 8 人若不帮助自己的亲戚，尤其是直系亲属，他就否定了信仰，比不信的人还糟糕。
