20 (A)I have found My servant David;
With My holy oil I have anointed him,
21 (B)With whom My hand shall be established;
Also My arm shall strengthen him.
22 The enemy shall not [a]outwit him,
Nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
23 I will beat down his foes before his face,
And plague those who hate him.
24 “But My faithfulness and My mercy shall be with him,
And in My name his horn shall be exalted.
25 Also I will (C)set his hand over the sea,
And his right hand over the rivers.
26 He shall cry to Me, ‘You are (D)my Father,
My God, and (E)the rock of my salvation.’
27 Also I will make him (F)My firstborn,
(G)The highest of the kings of the earth.
28 (H)My mercy I will keep for him forever,
And My covenant shall stand firm with him.
29 His seed also I will make to endure forever,
(I)And his throne (J)as the days of heaven.
30 “If(K) his sons (L)forsake My law
And do not walk in My judgments,
31 If they [b]break My statutes
And do not keep My commandments,
32 Then I will punish their transgression with the rod,
And their iniquity with stripes.
33 (M)Nevertheless My lovingkindness I will not [c]utterly take from him,
Nor [d]allow My faithfulness to fail.
34 My covenant I will not break,
Nor (N)alter the word that has gone out of My lips.
35 Once I have sworn (O)by My holiness;
I will not lie to David:
36 (P)His seed shall endure forever,
And his throne (Q)as the sun before Me;
37 It shall be established forever like the moon,
Even like the faithful witness in the sky.” Selah
The Ark Brought to Jerusalem(A)
15 David built houses for himself in the City of David; and he prepared a place for the ark of God, (B)and pitched a tent for it. 2 Then David said, “No one may carry the (C)ark of God but the Levites, for (D)the Lord has chosen them to carry the ark of God and to minister before Him forever.”
4 And he appointed some of the Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord, to (A)commemorate, to thank, and to praise the Lord God of Israel: 5 Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, then (B)Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, and Obed-Edom: Jeiel with stringed instruments and harps, but Asaph made music with cymbals; 6 Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests regularly blew the trumpets before the ark of the covenant of God.
David’s Song of Thanksgiving(C)
7 On that day (D)David (E)first delivered this psalm into the hand of Asaph and his brethren, to thank the Lord:
8 (F)Oh, give thanks to the Lord!
Call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the peoples!
9 Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him;
Talk of all His wondrous works!
10 Glory in His holy name;
Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!
11 Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His face evermore!
12 Remember His marvelous works which He has done,
His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth,
13 O seed of Israel His servant,
You children of Jacob, His chosen ones!
A Blind Man Receives His Sight(A)
35 (B)Then it happened, as He was coming near Jericho, that a certain blind man sat by the road begging. 36 And hearing a multitude passing by, he asked what it meant. 37 So they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. 38 And he cried out, saying, “Jesus, (C)Son of David, have mercy on me!”
39 Then those who went before warned him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
40 So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be brought to Him. And when he had come near, He asked him, 41 saying, “What do you want Me to do for you?”
He said, “Lord, that I may receive my sight.”
42 Then Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; (D)your faith has made you well.” 43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, (E)glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.
