Psalm 68:24-35

24 They have seen (A)Your procession, God,
The procession of my God, my King, [a](B)into the sanctuary.
25 The (C)singers went on, the musicians after them,
[b]In the midst of the (D)young women beating tambourines.
26 (E)Bless God in the congregations,
Even the Lord, you who are of the (F)fountain of Israel.
27 (G)Benjamin, the [c]youngest, is there, [d]ruling them,
The leaders of Judah in their company,
The leaders of (H)Zebulun, the leaders of Naphtali.

28 [e]Your God has (I)commanded your strength;
Show Yourself strong, God, You (J)who acted [f]in our behalf.
29 [g]Because of Your temple at Jerusalem
(K)Kings will bring gifts to You.
30 Rebuke the (L)animals [h]in the reeds,
The herd of (M)bulls with the calves of the peoples,
Trampling the pieces of silver;
He has (N)scattered the peoples who delight in war.
31 [i]Messengers will come from (O)Egypt;
[j](P)Cush will quickly stretch out her hands to God.

32 Sing to God, you (Q)kingdoms of the earth,
(R)Sing praises to the Lord, Selah
33 To Him who (S)rides upon the [k](T)highest heavens, which are from ancient times;
Behold, (U)He [l]speaks with His voice, a (V)mighty voice.
34 (W)Ascribe strength to God;
His majesty is over Israel,
And (X)His strength is in the [m]skies.
35 [n]God, You are (Y)awesome from Your [o]sanctuary.
The God of Israel Himself (Z)gives strength and power to the people.
(AA)Blessed be God!

2 Samuel 6:6-12

But when they came to the (A)threshing floor of Nacon, Uzzah (B)reached out toward the ark of God and took hold of it, because the oxen nearly overturned it. And the anger of the Lord burned against Uzzah, and (C)God struck him down there for [a]his irreverence; and he died there by the ark of God. Then David became angry because [b]of the Lords outburst against Uzzah; and that place has been called [c]Perez-uzzah to this day. So (D)David was afraid of the Lord that day; and he said, “How can the ark of the Lord come to me?” 10 And David was unwilling to move the ark of the Lord into the city of David with him; but David took it aside to the house of (E)Obed-edom, the Gittite. 11 The ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite for three months, and the Lord (F)blessed Obed-edom and all his household.

The Ark Is Brought to Jerusalem

12 Now it was reported to King David, saying, “The Lord has blessed the house of Obed-edom and all that belongs to him, on account of the ark of God.” (G)So David went and brought the ark of God up from the house of Obed-edom to (H)the city of David with joy.

Acts 21:27-39

Paul Seized in the Temple

27 When (A)the seven days were almost over, (B)the Jews from [a](C)Asia, upon seeing him in the temple, began to stir up all the crowd and laid hands on him, 28 crying out, “Men of Israel, help! (D)This is the man who instructs everyone everywhere against our people and the Law and this place; and besides, he has even brought Greeks into the temple and has (E)defiled this holy place!” 29 For they had previously seen (F)Trophimus the (G)Ephesian in the city with him, and they thought that Paul had brought him into the temple. 30 Then the whole city was provoked and [b]the people rushed together, and taking hold of Paul they (H)dragged him out of the temple, and immediately the doors were shut. 31 While they were intent on killing him, a report came up to the commander of the (I)Roman [c]cohort that all Jerusalem was in confusion. 32 He immediately (J)took along some soldiers and centurions and ran down to [d]the crowd; and when they saw the commander and the soldiers, they stopped beating Paul. 33 Then the commander came up and took hold of him, and ordered that he be (K)bound with (L)two chains; and he began asking who he was and what he had done. 34 But among the crowd, (M)some were shouting one thing and some another, and when he could not find out the [e]facts because of the uproar, he ordered that [f]Paul be brought into (N)the barracks. 35 When Paul got to (O)the stairs, it came about that he was carried by the soldiers because of the violence of the [g]mob; 36 for the multitude of people kept following them, shouting, “(P)Away with him!”

37 As Paul was about to be brought into (Q)the barracks, he *said to the commander, “May I say something to you?” And he said, “Do you know Greek? 38 Then you are not (R)the Egyptian who some [h]time ago stirred up a revolt and led the four thousand men of the Assassins out (S)into the wilderness?” 39 But Paul said, “(T)I am a Jew of Tarsus in (U)Cilicia, a citizen of no insignificant city; and I beg you, allow me to speak to the people.”
