12 Blessed is that nation, whose [a]God is the Lord: even the people that he hath chosen for his inheritance.
13 The Lord [b]looketh down from heaven, and beholdeth all the children of men.
14 From the habitation of his dwelling, he beholdeth all them that dwell in the earth.
15 He [c]fashioneth their hearts every one, and understandeth all their works.
16 The [d]King is not saved by the multitude of an host, neither is the mighty man delivered by great strength.
17 A horse is a vain help, and shall not deliver any by his great strength.
18 Behold, [e]the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, and upon them that trust in his mercy,
19 To deliver their souls from death, and to preserve them in famine.
20 [f]Our soul waiteth for the Lord: for he is our help and our shield.
21 Surely our heart shall rejoice in him, because we trusted in his holy Name.
22 Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, as we trusted in thee.
4 ¶ These are the [a]generations of the heavens and of the earth, when they were created, in the day, that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,
5 And every [b]plant of the field, before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field, before it grew, for the Lord God had not caused it to [c]rain upon the earth, neither was there a man to till the ground,
6 But a mist went up from the earth, and watered all the earth.
7 ¶ The Lord God also [d]made the man [e]of the dust of the ground, and breathed in his face breath of life, (A)and the man was a living soul.
42 [a]So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is [b]sown in corruption, and is raised in incorruption.
43 It is sown in [c]dishonor, and is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness, and is raised in [d]power.
44 [e]It is sown a natural body, and is raised a spiritual body: there is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
45 [f]As it is also written, The [g]first man (A)Adam was made a living soul: and the last Adam was made a [h]quickening spirit.
46 [i]Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual: but that which is natural, and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, [j]earthly: the second man is the Lord from [k]heaven.
48 [l]As is the earthly, such are they that are earthly: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49 And as we have born the [m]image of the earthly, so shall we bear the image of the heavenly.
