約 翰 一 書 3:10-16
10 你们可以这样区分谁是上帝的孩子，谁是恶魔的孩子：任何做不义之事、不爱自己兄弟的人都不属于上帝。
我们必须彼此相爱
11 这是你们从一开始就听到的教导，我们必须彼此相爱。 12 不要像该隐那样。 [a]他杀死了自己的兄弟，他属于那个邪恶者（魔鬼）。该隐为什么杀害自己的兄弟呢？因为该隐所做的是邪恶的，而他兄弟所做的是正义的。
13 兄弟们，如果世人憎恨你们，不要惊讶。 14 我们知道我们出死入生的原因。因为我们爱我们的兄弟。没有爱的人，仍处在死亡之中。
15 凡是憎恨自己兄弟的人，就是凶手。 [b]你们知道，任何凶手都不会有永恒的生命。 16 基督为我们牺牲了生命。从这一点，我们知道了什么是爱。那么，我们也应该为在基督里的兄弟牺牲自己的生命。
