150 Hallelujah! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in the firmament of his power.

² Praise him in his mighty acts; praise him according to the abundance of his greatness.

³ Praise him with the sound of the trumpet; praise him with lute and harp;

⁴ Praise him with the tambour and dance; praise him with stringed instruments and the pipe;

⁵ Praise him with loud cymbals; praise him with high sounding cymbals.

⁶ Let everything that hath breath praise Jah. Hallelujah!

30 The word that came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying,

² Thus speaketh Jehovah the God of Israel, saying, Write thee in a book all the words that I have spoken unto thee.

³ For behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, when I will turn the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith Jehovah; and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

⁴ And these are the words that Jehovah hath spoken concerning Israel and concerning Judah;

⁵ for thus saith Jehovah: We have heard a voice of trembling, there is fear, and no peace.

⁶ Ask ye now, and see, whether a male doth travail with child? Wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail; and all faces are turned into paleness?

⁷ Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

⁸ And it shall come to pass in that day, saith Jehovah of hosts, I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more reduce him to servitude.

⁹ But they shall serve Jehovah their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

¹⁰ And thou, my servant Jacob, fear not, saith Jehovah; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for behold, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and at ease, and none shall make [him] afraid.

¹¹ For I am with thee, saith Jehovah, to save thee: for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have scattered thee; yet of thee will I not make a full end, but I will correct thee with judgment, and will not hold thee altogether guiltless.

¹⁰ In this are manifest the children of God and the children of the devil. Whoever does not practise righteousness is not of God, and he who does not love his brother.

¹¹ For this is the message which ye have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another:

¹² not as Cain was of the wicked one, and slew his brother; and on account of what slew he him? because his works were wicked, and those of his brother righteous.

¹³ Do not wonder, brethren, if the world hate you.

¹⁴ *We* know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love [his] brother abides in death.

¹⁵ Every one that hates his brother is a murderer, and ye know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

¹⁶ Hereby we have known love, because *he* has laid down his life for us; and *we* ought for the brethren to lay down [our] lives.
