Psalm 105:1-11

The Eternal Faithfulness of the Lord(A)

105 Oh, (B)give thanks to the Lord!
Call upon His name;
(C)Make known His deeds among the peoples!
Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him;
(D)Talk of all His wondrous works!
Glory in His holy name;
Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!
Seek the Lord and His strength;
(E)Seek His face evermore!
(F)Remember His marvelous works which He has done,
His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth,
O seed of Abraham His servant,
You children of Jacob, His chosen ones!

He is the Lord our God;
(G)His judgments are in all the earth.
He (H)remembers His covenant forever,
The word which He commanded, for a thousand generations,
(I)The covenant which He made with Abraham,
And His oath to Isaac,
10 And confirmed it to Jacob for a statute,
To Israel as an everlasting covenant,
11 Saying, (J)“To you I will give the land of Canaan
As the allotment of your inheritance,”

Psalm 105:37-45

37 (A)He also brought them out with silver and gold,
And there was none feeble among His tribes.
38 (B)Egypt was glad when they departed,
For the fear of them had fallen upon them.
39 (C)He spread a cloud for a covering,
And fire to give light in the night.
40 (D)The people asked, and He brought quail,
And (E)satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
41 (F)He opened the rock, and water gushed out;
It ran in the dry places like a river.

42 For He remembered (G)His holy promise,
And Abraham His servant.
43 He brought out His people with joy,
His chosen ones with [a]gladness.
44 (H)He gave them the lands of the [b]Gentiles,
And they inherited the labor of the nations,
45 (I)That they might observe His statutes
And keep His laws.

[c]Praise the Lord!

Jeremiah 30:12-22

12 “For thus says the Lord:

(A)‘Your affliction is incurable,
Your wound is severe.
13 There is no one to plead your cause,
That you may be bound up;
(B)You have no healing medicines.
14 (C)All your lovers have forgotten you;
They do not seek you;
For I have wounded you with the wound (D)of an enemy,
With the chastisement (E)of a cruel one,
For the multitude of your iniquities,
(F)Because your sins have increased.
15 Why (G)do you cry about your affliction?
Your sorrow is incurable.
Because of the multitude of your iniquities,
Because your sins have increased,
I have done these things to you.

16 ‘Therefore all those who devour you (H)shall be devoured;
And all your adversaries, every one of them, shall go into (I)captivity;
Those who plunder you shall become (J)plunder,
And all who prey upon you I will make a (K)prey.
17 (L)For I will restore health to you
And heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord,
‘Because they called you an outcast saying:
“This is Zion;
No one seeks her.” ’

18 “Thus says the Lord:

‘Behold, I will bring back the captivity of Jacob’s tents,
And (M)have mercy on his dwelling places;
The city shall be built upon its own [a]mound,
And the palace shall remain according to its own plan.
19 Then (N)out of them shall proceed thanksgiving
And the voice of those who make merry;
(O)I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish;
I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
20 Their children also shall be (P)as before,
And their congregation shall be established before Me;
And I will punish all who oppress them.
21 Their nobles shall be from among them,
(Q)And their governor shall come from their midst;
Then I will (R)cause him to draw near,
And he shall approach Me;
For who is this who pledged his heart to approach Me?’ says the Lord.
22 ‘You shall be (S)My people,
And I will be your God.’ ”

John 12:36-43

36 While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become (A)sons of light.” These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and (B)was hidden from them.

Who Has Believed Our Report?

37 But although He had done so many (C)signs before them, they did not believe in Him, 38 that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke:

(D)“Lord, who has believed our report?
And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”

39 Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again:

40 “He(E) has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts,
(F)Lest they should see with their eyes,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,
So that I should heal them.”

41 (G)These things Isaiah said [a]when he saw His glory and spoke of Him.

Walk in the Light

42 Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but (H)because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; 43 (I)for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
