Version
Psalm 125

125 1 He describeth the assurance of the faithful in their afflictions. 4 And desireth their wealth, 5 And the destruction of the wicked.

A song of degrees.

They that trust in the Lord, shall be as mount Zion, which cannot [a]be removed, but remaineth forever.

As the mountains are about Jerusalem: so is the Lord about his people from henceforth and forever.

For the [b]rod of the wicked shall not rest on the lot of the righteous, lest the righteous put forth their hand unto wickedness.

Do well, O Lord, unto those that be good and true in their hearts.

[c]But these that turn aside by their crooked ways, them shall the Lord lead with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.

Malachi 3:16-4:6

16 [a]Then spake they that feared the Lord, everyone to his neighbor, and the Lord hearkened and heard it, and a [b]book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his Name.

17 And they shall be to me, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day [c]that I shall do this, for a flock, and I will [d]spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

18 Then shall you return, and discern between the righteous and wicked, between him that serveth God, and him that serveth him not.

The day of the Lord before the which Elijah should come.

For behold, the day cometh that shall [e]burn as an oven, and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble, and the day that cometh, shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, and shall leave them neither root nor branch.

But unto you that fear my name, shall the [f]sun of righteousness arise, and health shall be under his wings, and ye shall go [g]forth and grow up as fat calves.

And ye shall tread down the wicked: for they shall be dust under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.

[h]Remember the Law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel with the statutes and judgments.

Behold, I will send you [i]Elijah the Prophet before the coming of the great and [j]fearful day of the Lord.

And he shall [k]turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and [l]smite the earth with cursing.

Mark 9:9-13

(A)[a]And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them, that they should tell no man what they had seen, save when the Son of man were risen from the dead again.

10 So they [b]kept that matter to themselves, and [c]demanded one of another, what the rising from the dead again should mean.

11 [d]Also they asked him, saying, Why say the Scribes, that (B)Elijah must first come?

12 And he answered, and said unto them, Elijah verily shall first come, and restore all things: and (C)as it is written of the Son of man, he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.

13 But I say unto you, that Elijah is come, (and they have done unto him whatsoever they would) as it is written of him.
