Psalm 85:1-2

Turn Us Back, O God

For the choir director. Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm.

85 O Yahweh, You showed (A)favor to Your land;
You [a](B)returned the fortunes of Jacob.
You (C)forgave the iniquity of Your people;
You (D)covered all their sin. [b]Selah.

Psalm 85:8-13

Let me hear what the God, Yahweh, will speak;
For He will (A)speak peace to His people, [a]to His holy ones;
But let them not (B)turn back to [b]folly.
Surely (C)His salvation is near to those who [c]fear Him,
That (D)glory may dwell in our land.
10 (E)Lovingkindness and [d]truth have met together;
(F)Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
11 [e]Truth (G)springs up from the earth,
And righteousness looks down from heaven.
12 Indeed, (H)Yahweh will give what is good,
And our (I)land will yield its produce.
13 (J)Righteousness will go before Him
And will establish the way of His steps.

Ezekiel 36:24-28

24 And I will (A)take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands, and bring you into your own land. 25 Then I will [a](B)sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your (C)uncleanness and from all your (D)idols. 26 Moreover, I will give you a (E)new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the (F)heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will (G)put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to do My judgments. 28 And you will inhabit the land that I gave to your fathers; so you will be (H)My people, and I will be your God.

Mark 11:27-33

The Authority of Jesus Challenged

27 Then they *came again to Jerusalem. (A)And as He was walking in the temple, the chief priests and the scribes and the elders *came to Him, 28 and began saying to Him, “By what authority are You doing these things, or who gave You this authority to do these things?” 29 And Jesus said to them, “I will ask you one question, and you answer Me, and then I will tell you by what authority I do these things. 30 Was the baptism of John from heaven, or from men? Answer Me.” 31 And they began reasoning among themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will say, ‘Then why did you not believe him?’ 32 But if we say, ‘From men’?”—they were afraid of the crowd, for everyone was regarding John to have been a real prophet. 33 And answering Jesus, they *said, “We do not know.” And Jesus *said to them, “Neither [a]will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”
