Psalm 100

Psalm 100

A Psalm of thanksgiving.

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth!
    Serve the Lord with gladness;
    come before His presence with singing.
Know that the Lord, He is God;
    it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
    we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
    and into His courts with praise;
    be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the Lord is good; His mercy endures forever,
    and His faithfulness to all generations.

Isaiah 40:1-11

Comfort for God’s People

40 Comfort, O comfort, My people,
    says your God.
Speak kindly to Jerusalem,
    and cry to her
that her warfare has ended,
    that her iniquity has been pardoned,
that she has received of the hand of the Lord
    double for all her sins.

The voice of him who cries out,
“Prepare the way of the Lord
    in the wilderness,
make straight in the desert
    a highway for our God.
Let every valley be lifted up,
    and every mountain and hill be made low,
and let the rough ground become a plain,
    and the rough places a plain;
then the glory of the Lord shall be revealed,
    and all flesh shall see it together,
    for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.”

The voice said, “Cry out.”
    And he said, “What shall I cry out?”

All flesh is grass,
    and all its loveliness is as the flower of the field.
The grass withers, the flower fades
    because the Spirit of the Lord blows upon it;
    surely the people are grass.
The grass withers, the flower fades,
    but the word of our God shall stand forever.

O Zion, bearer of good news,
    get yourself up onto a high mountain;
O Jerusalem, bearer of good news,
    lift up your voice with strength,
lift it up, do not be afraid;
    say to the cities of Judah,
    “Here is your God!”
10 See, the Lord God will come with a strong hand,
    and His arm shall rule for Him;
see, His reward is with Him,
    and His recompense before Him.
11 He shall feed His flock like a shepherd;
    He shall gather the lambs with His arm,
and carry them in His bosom,
    and shall gently lead those that are with young.

Revelation 22:1-9

22 Then he showed me a pure river of the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb in the middle of its street. On each side of the river was the tree of life, which bore twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. There shall be no more curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. Night shall be no more. They need no lamp nor the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.

The Coming of Christ

The angel said to me, “These words are faithful and true. The Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show to His servants the things which must soon take place.”

“Look, I am coming soon. Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

I, John, am he who saw and heard these things. When I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed me these things. But he said to me, “See that you not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God!”
