Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
Vav
41 May Your (A)lovingkindnesses also come to me, O Yahweh,
Your salvation (B)according to Your [a]word;
42 So I will have an (C)answer for him who (D)reproaches me,
For I trust in Your word.
43 And do not take away the word of truth utterly from my mouth,
For I [b](E)wait for Your judgments.
44 So I will (F)keep Your law continually,
Forever and ever.
45 And I will (G)walk in a wide place,
For I (H)seek Your precepts.
46 I will also speak of Your testimonies (I)before kings
And I shall not be ashamed.
47 I shall [c](J)delight in Your commandments,
Which I (K)love.
48 And I shall lift up my hands to Your commandments,
Which I (L)love;
And I will (M)muse on Your statutes.
8 If, however, you (A)are fulfilling the [a]royal law according to the Scripture, “(B)You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well. 9 But if you (C)show partiality, you are committing sin, being convicted by the [b]law as transgressors. 10 For whoever keeps the whole [c]law and yet (D)stumbles in one point, he has become (E)guilty of all. 11 For He who said, “(F)Do not commit adultery,” also said, “(G)Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but murder, you have become a transgressor of the [d]law. 12 So speak and so act as those who are to be judged by (H)the law of freedom. 13 For (I)judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy [e]triumphs over judgment.
