Psalm 105:1-6

105 1 He praiseth the singular grace of God, who hath of all the people of the world chosen a peculiar people to himself, and having chosen them, never ceaseth to do them good, even for his promise’s sake.

Praise the Lord, and call upon his Name: [a]declare his works among the people.

Sing unto him, sing praise unto him, and talk of all his wondrous works.

Rejoice in his holy Name, let the heart of them that seek the Lord, rejoice.

Seek the Lord and his [b]strength: seek his face continually.

Remember his [c]marvelous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the [d]judgments of his mouth,

Ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob, which are his elect.

Psalm 105:37-45

37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold, and there was [a]none feeble among their tribes.

38 Egypt was [b]glad at their departing: for the fear of them had fallen upon them.

39 He spread a cloud to be a covering, and fire to give light in the night.

40 They [c]asked, and he brought quails, and he filled them with the bread of heaven.

41 He opened the rock, and the water flowed out, and ran in the dry places like a river.

42 For he remembered his holy [d]promise to Abraham his servant,

43 And he brought forth his people with [e]joy, and his chosen with gladness,

44 And gave them the lands of the heathen, and they took the labors of the people in possession,

45 That they might [f]keep his statutes, and observe his Laws. Praise ye the Lord.

Exodus 16:22-30

22 ¶ And the sixth day they gathered [a]twice so much bread, two omers for one man: then all the rulers of the Congregation came and told Moses.

23 And he answered them, This is that which the Lord hath said, Tomorrow is the rest of the holy Sabbath unto the Lord: bake that today which ye will bake, and seethe that which ye will seethe, and all that remaineth, lay it up to be kept till the morning for you.

24 And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade, and it stank not, neither was there any worm therein.

25 Then Moses said, Eat that today: for today is the Sabbath unto the Lord: today ye shall not [b]find it in the field.

26 Six days shall ye gather it, but in the seventh day is the Sabbath: in it there shall be none.

27 ¶ Notwithstanding, there [c]went out some of the people in the seventh day for to gather, and they found none.

28 And the Lord said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments, and my laws?

29 Behold, how the Lord hath given you the Sabbath: therefore he giveth you the sixth day bread for two days: tarry therefore every man in his place: let no man go out of his place the seventh day.

30 So the people rested the seventh day.

Matthew 19:23-30

23 [a]Then Jesus said unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, that a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

24 And again I say unto you, It is [b]easier for a [c]camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

25 And when his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?

26 And Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

27 (A)Then answered Peter, and said to him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee: what therefore shall we have?

28 [d]And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say to you, that when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his Majesty, ye which followed me in the [e]regeneration, (B)shall sit also upon twelve thrones, and judge the twelve tribes of Israel.

29 And whosoever shall forsake houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my Name’s sake, he shall receive an hundredfold more, and shall inherit everlasting life.

30 (C)[f]But many that are first, shall be last, and the last shall be first.
