Psalm 139:13-18

13 For thou hast [a]possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.

14 I will praise thee, for I am [b]fearfully and wondrously made: marvelous are thy works, and my soul knoweth it well.

15 My bones are not hid from thee, though I was made in a secret place, and fashioned [c]beneath in the earth.

16 Thine eyes did see me, when I was without form: [d]for in thy book were all things written, which in continuance were fashioned, when there was none of them before.

17 How [e]dear therefore are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

18 If I should count them, they are more than the sand: when I awake, [f]I am still with thee.

Genesis 33:1-17

33 4 Esau and Jacob meet and are agreed. 11 Esau receiveth his gifts. 19 Jacob buyeth a possession, 20 And buildeth an altar.

And as Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, behold, Esau came, and with him four hundred men: and he [a]divided the children to Leah, and unto Rachel, and to the two maids.

And he put the maids, and their children foremost, and Leah, and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph hindermost.

So he went before them and [b]bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.

And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him, and they wept.

And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women, and the children, and said, Who are these with thee? And he answered, They are the children whom God of his grace hath given thy servant.

Then came the maids near, they and their children, and [c]bowed themselves.

Leah also with her children came near and made obeisance: and after Joseph and Rachel drew near, and did reverence.

Then he said, What meanest thou by all this drove, which I met? Who answered, I have sent it, that I may find favor in the sight of my lord.

And Esau said, I have enough, my brother: keep that thou hast to thyself.

10 But Jacob answered, Nay, I pray thee, if I have found grace now in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for [d]I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, because thou hast accepted me.

11 I pray thee take my [e]blessing, that is brought thee: for God hath had mercy on me, and therefore I have all things: for he [f]compelled him, and he took it.

12 And he said, Let us take our journey and go, and I will go before thee.

13 Then he answered him, My lord knoweth, that the children are tender, and the ewes and kine with young under mine hand: and if they should overdrive them one day, all the flock would die.

14 Let now my lord go before his servant, and I will drive softly, according to the pace of the cattle, which is before me, and as the children be able to endure, until [g]I come to my lord unto Seir.

15 Then Esau said, I will leave then some of my folk with thee. And he answered, What needeth this? let me find grace in the sight of my lord.

16 ¶ So Esau returned, and went his way that same day unto Seir.

17 And Jacob went forward toward Succoth, and built him an house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore he called the name of the place [h]Succoth.

Galatians 4:21-5:1

21 [a]Tell me, ye that [b]will be under the Law, do ye not hear the Law?

22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, (A)one by a servant, and (B)one by a free woman.

23 But he which was of the servant, was born after the [c]flesh: and he which was of the free woman, was born by [d]promise.

24 By the which things another thing is meant: for [e]these mothers are the [f]two Testaments, the one which is Hagar of mount [g]Sinai, which gendereth unto bondage.

25 (For Hagar or Sinai is a mountain in Arabia, and it [h]answered to Jerusalem which now is) and [i]she is in bondage with her children.

26 But Jerusalem, which is [j]above, is free: which is the mother of us all.

27 [k]For it is written, (C)Rejoice thou barren that bearest no children: break forth, and cry, thou that travailest not: for the [l]desolate hath many more children, than she which hath an husband.

28 (D)Therefore, brethren, we are after the [m]manner of Isaac, children of the [n]promise.

29 But as then he that was born after the [o]flesh, persecuted him that was born after the [p]Spirit, even so it is now.

30 But what saith the Scripture? (E)Put out the servant and her son: for the son of the servant shall not be heir with the son of the free woman.

31 [q]Then brethren, we are not children of the servant, but of the free woman.

1 Having declared that we came of the free woman, he showeth the price of that freedom, 13 and how we should use the same, 16 that we may obey the Spirit, 19 and resist the flesh.

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
