Psalm 33:12-22

12 Blessed is that nation, whose [a]God is the Lord: even the people that he hath chosen for his inheritance.

13 The Lord [b]looketh down from heaven, and beholdeth all the children of men.

14 From the habitation of his dwelling, he beholdeth all them that dwell in the earth.

15 He [c]fashioneth their hearts every one, and understandeth all their works.

16 The [d]King is not saved by the multitude of an host, neither is the mighty man delivered by great strength.

17 A horse is a vain help, and shall not deliver any by his great strength.

18 Behold, [e]the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, and upon them that trust in his mercy,

19 To deliver their souls from death, and to preserve them in famine.

20 [f]Our soul waiteth for the Lord: for he is our help and our shield.

21 Surely our heart shall rejoice in him, because we trusted in his holy Name.

22 Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, as we trusted in thee.

Exodus 19:16-25

16 And the third day, when it was morning, there was thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the sound of the trumpet exceeding loud, so that all the people that was in the camp was afraid.

17 Then Moses brought the people out of the tents to meet with God, and they stood in the nether part of the mount.

18 (A)And mount Sinai was all on smoke, because the Lord came down upon it in fire, and the smoke thereof ascended, as the smoke of a furnace, and all the mount [a]trembled exceedingly.

19 And when the sound of the trumpet blew long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by [b]voice.

20 (For the Lord came down upon mount Sinai on the top of the mount) and when the Lord called Moses up into the top of the mount, Moses went up.

21 Then the Lord said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, that they break not their bounds, to go up to the Lord to gaze, lest many of them perish.

22 And let the [c]Priests also which come to the Lord be sanctified, lest the Lord [d]destroy them.

23 And Moses said unto the Lord, The people cannot come up into the mount Sinai: for thou hast charged us, saying, Set marks on the mountain, and sanctify it.

24 And the Lord said unto him, Go, get thee down, and come up thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the [e]Priests and the people break their bounds to come up unto the Lord, lest he destroy them.

25 So Moses went down unto the people, and told them.

Romans 8:14-17

14 [a]For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

15 [b]For ye have not received the [c]Spirit of bondage, to [d]fear again: but ye have received the Spirit of [e]adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

16 The same Spirit beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.

17 [f]If we be children, we are also [g]heirs, even the heirs of God, and heirs annexed with Christ: [h]if so be that we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.
