Jeremiah 23:1-6

23 1 Against false pastors. 5 A prophecy of the great Pastor Jesus Christ.

Woe be unto [a]the pastors that destroy and scatter the [b]sheep of my pasture, saith the Lord.

Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel unto the pastors that [c]feed my people, Ye have scattered my flock, and thrust them out, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit you for the wickedness of your works, saith the Lord.

And I will gather the [d]remnant of my sheep out of all countries, whither I had driven them, and will bring them again to their folds, and they shall grow and increase:

And I will set up shepherds over them, which shall feed them: and they shall dread no more nor be afraid, neither shall any of them be lacking, saith the Lord.

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous [e]branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

In his days Judah shall be saved, and (A)Israel shall dwell safely, and this is the Name whereby they shall call him, (B)The Lord our righteousness.

Luke 1:68-79

68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, because he hath [a]visited (A)and [b]redeemed his people,

69 (B)And hath raised up the [c]horn of salvation unto us, in the house of his servant David,

70 (C)As he spake by the mouth of his holy Prophets, which were since the world began, saying,

71 That he would send us deliverance from our enemies, and from the hands of all that hate us,

72 That he might show mercy towards our fathers: and [d]remember his holy covenant,

73 (D)And the oath, which he sware to our father Abraham.

74 Which was, that he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hands of our enemies, should serve him without fear,

75 All the days of our life, in (E)holiness and righteousness [e]before him.

76 And thou, [f]babe, shalt be called the Prophet of the most High: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways,

77 And to [g]give knowledge of salvation unto his people, by the [h]remission of their sins,

78 Through the tender mercy of our God, whereby (F)the [i]dayspring from on high hath visited us,

79 To give light to them that sit in darkness, and in the shadow of death, and to guide our feet into the way of [j]peace.

Colossians 1:11-20

11 [a]Strengthened with all might through his glorious power, unto all patience, and longsuffering with [b]joyfulness,

12 [c]Giving thanks unto the [d]Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the Saints in [e]light,

13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom (A)of his dear Son,

14 [f]In whom we have redemption through his blood, that is, the forgiveness of sins.

15 [g]Who is the (B)image of the invisible God, [h]the first begotten of every creature.

16 (C)For by him were all things created which are in heaven, and which are in earth, things visible and invisible: whether they be [i]Thrones, or Dominions, or Principalities, or Powers, all things were created by him, and for him.

17 And he is before all things, and in him all things consist.

18 [j]And he is the head of the body of the Church: he is the beginning, (D)and the [k]first begotten of the dead, that in all things he might have the preeminence.

19 (E)For it pleased the Father, that in him should [l]all fullness dwell.

20 [m]And through peace made by that blood of that his cross, to reconcile to himself through him, through him, I say, [n]all things, both which are in earth, and which are in heaven.

Luke 23:33-43

33 [a]And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the evildoers: one at the right hand, and the other at the left.

34 [b]Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them: for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

35 And the people stood, and beheld: and the rulers mocked him with them, saying, He saved others: let him save himself, if he be that Christ the [c]Chosen of God.

36 The soldiers also mocked him, and came and offered him vinegar,

37 And said, If thou be the King of the Jews, save thyself.

38 [d]And a superscription was also written over him, in Greek letters, and in Latin, and in Hebrew, THIS IS THAT KING OF THE JEWS.

39 [e]And [f]one of the evildoers, which were hanged, railed on him, saying, If thou be that Christ, save thyself and us.

40 But the other answered, and rebuked him, saying, Fearest thou not God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?

41 We are indeed righteously here: for we receive things worthy of that we have done: but this man hath done nothing [g]amiss.

42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me, when thou comest into thy kingdom.

43 Then Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in [h]Paradise.
