Version
Isaiah 12

12 In that day you will say, “I will give thanks to you, Yahweh; for though you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you comfort me. Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust, and will not be afraid; for Yah, Yahweh, is my strength and song; and he has become my salvation.” Therefore with joy you will draw water out of the wells of salvation. In that day you will say, “Give thanks to Yahweh! Call on his name! Declare his doings among the peoples! Proclaim that his name is exalted! Sing to Yahweh, for he has done excellent things! Let this be known in all the earth! Cry aloud and shout, you inhabitant of Zion, for the Holy One of Israel is great among you!”

Isaiah 57:14-21

14 He will say, “Build up, build up, prepare the way!
    Remove the stumbling-block out of the way of my people.”
15 For the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity,
    whose name is Holy, says:
“I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit,
    to revive the spirit of the humble,
    and to revive the heart of the contrite.
16 For I will not contend forever, neither will I always be angry;
    for the spirit would faint before me,
    and the souls whom I have made.
17 I was angry because of the iniquity of his covetousness and struck him.
    I hid myself and was angry;
    and he went on backsliding in the way of his heart.
18 I have seen his ways, and will heal him.
    I will lead him also,
    and restore comforts to him and to his mourners.
19 I create the fruit of the lips:
    Peace, peace, to him who is far off and to him who is near,”
    says Yahweh; “and I will heal them.”
20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea;
    for it can’t rest and its waters cast up mire and mud.
21 “There is no peace”, says my God,
    “for the wicked.”

Romans 1:18-25

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because that which is known of God is revealed in them, for God revealed it to them. 20 For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. 21 Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 and traded the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, four-footed animals, and creeping things. 24 Therefore God also gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves; 25 who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
