91 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

² I say of Jehovah, My refuge and my fortress; my God, I will confide in him.

³ Surely *he* shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, [and] from the destructive pestilence.

⁴ He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou find refuge: his truth is a shield and buckler.

⁵ Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, for the arrow that flieth by day,

⁶ For the pestilence that walketh in darkness, for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

¹⁴ Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

¹⁵ He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honour him.

¹⁶ With length of days will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

²³ Am I a God at hand, saith Jehovah, and not a God afar off?

²⁴ Can any hide himself in secret places, that I shall not see him? saith Jehovah. Do not I fill the heavens and the earth? saith Jehovah.

²⁵ I have heard what the prophets say, who prophesy falsehood in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.

²⁶ How long shall [this] be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy falsehood, and who are prophets of the deceit of their own heart?

²⁷ who think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour: as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.

²⁸ The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell the dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith Jehovah.

²⁹ Is not my word like a fire, saith Jehovah; and like a hammer [that] breaketh the rock in pieces?

³⁰ Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith Jehovah, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.

³¹ Behold, I am against the prophets, saith Jehovah, that use their tongues, and say, He hath said.

³² Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith Jehovah, and that tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies and by their boasting; and I have not sent them, nor commanded them; and they profit not this people at all, saith Jehovah.

2 and *you*, being dead in your offences and sins—

² in which ye once walked according to the age of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience:

³ among whom *we* also all once had our conversation in the lusts of our flesh, doing what the flesh and the thoughts willed to do, and were children, by nature, of wrath, even as the rest:

⁴ but God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love wherewith he loved us,

⁵ (we too being dead in offences,) has quickened us with the Christ, (ye are saved by grace,)

⁶ and has raised [us] up together, and has made [us] sit down together in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus,

⁷ that he might display in the coming ages the surpassing riches of his grace in kindness towards us in Christ Jesus.

⁸ For ye are saved by grace, through faith; and this not of yourselves; it is God's gift:

⁹ not on the principle of works, that no one might boast.

¹⁰ For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has before prepared that we should walk in them.
