Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
GIMEL
17 Be beneficial to Your servant, that I may live and keep Your Word.
18 Open my eyes, that I may see the wonders of Your Law.
19 I am a stranger upon Earth. Do not hide Your Commandments from me.
20 My heart breaks for the desire of Your Judgments always.
21 You have rebuked the proud. Cursed are those who stray from Your Commandments.
22 Remove from me shame and contempt, for I have kept Your Testimonies.
23 Princes also sat and spoke against me, but Your servant meditated on Your Statutes.
24 Also Your Testimonies are my delight and my counselors.
DALETH
25 My soul clings to the dust, quicken me according to Your Word.
26 I have declared my ways, and You heard me. Teach me Your Statutes.
27 Make me to understand the way of Your Precepts, and I will meditate on Your wondrous works.
28 My soul melts for heaviness, raise me up according to Your Word.
29 Take from me the way of lying and grant me graciously Your Law.
30 I have chosen the way of truth and Your Judgments have I laid before me.
31 I have clung to Your Testimonies, O LORD, do not confound me.
32 I will run the way of Your Commandments, when You shall enlarge my heart.
7 Thus has the LORD God showed to me. And behold, He formed grasshoppers in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth. And lo, it was in the latter growth, after the king’s mowing.
2 And when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, “O LORD God, spare, I beg You. Who shall raise up Jacob? For he is small.”
3 So the LORD repented for this. “It shall not be,” said the LORD.
4 Thus has the LORD God showed to me. And behold, the LORD God called to judgment by fire. And it devoured the great deep and ate up a part.
5 Then I said, “O LORD God! Cease, I beg You. Who shall raise up Jacob? For he is small.”
6 So the LORD repented for this. “This also shall not be,” said the LORD God.
27 to whom God would make known the riches of His glorious mystery among the Gentiles – which is Christ in you, the hope of Glory;
28 Whom we preach, admonishing everyone, and teaching everyone in all wisdom, that we may present everyone complete in Christ Jesus.
29 Toward this I also toil, striving according to His miraculous power working in me.
2 For I desire that you knew what great struggle I have for you, and for those of Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
2 that their hearts might be encouraged, having been joined together in love and in all the riches of the full assurance of understanding to know the mystery of God and the Father and of Christ,
3 in Whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
4 And this I say so that no one should deceive you with persuasive words.
5 For though I am absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in spirit, rejoicing and seeing your order and your steadfast faith in Christ.
6 Therefore, as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him;
7 being rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith as you have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
