Psalm 42

42 As the hart panteth for the water brooks, so panteth my soul for Thee, O God.

My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God; when shall I come and appear before God?

My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, “Where is thy God?”

When I remember these things, I pour out my soul within me, for I had gone with the multitude; I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God, for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance.

O my God, my soul is cast down within me; therefore will I remember Thee from the land of Jordan and of the Hermonites, from the hill of Mizar.

Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of Thy waterspouts; all Thy waves and Thy billows have gone over me.

Yet the Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me and my prayer unto the God of my life.

I will say unto God my rock, “Why hast Thou forgotten me? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?”

10 As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me, while they say daily unto me, “Where is thy God?”

11 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God, for I shall yet praise Him, who is the health of my countenance and my God.

Psalm 43

43 Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation; O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

For Thou art the God of my strength; why dost Thou cast me off? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

O send out Thy light and Thy truth! Let them lead me. Let them bring me unto Thy holy hill and to Thy tabernacles.

Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy; yea, upon the harp will I praise Thee, O God, my God.

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, who is the health of my countenance and my God.

Proverbs 11:3-13

The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

Riches profit not in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivereth from death.

The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way, but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.

The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them, but the transgressors shall be taken in their own wickedness.

When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish; and the hope of unjust men perisheth.

The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.

A hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbor, but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.

10 When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth; and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.

11 By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

12 He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbor, but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.

13 A talebearer revealeth secrets, but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.

Matthew 9:27-34

27 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed Him, crying and saying, “Thou Son of David, have mercy on us!”

28 And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him, and Jesus said unto them, “Believe ye that I am able to do this?” They said unto Him, “Yea, Lord.”

29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith, be it unto you.”

30 And their eyes were opened, and Jesus strictly charged them, saying, “See that no man know it.”

31 But they, when they had departed, spread abroad His fame in all that country.

32 As they went out, behold, they brought to Him a man, dumb and possessed with a devil.

33 And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spoke; and the multitudes marveled, saying, “It was never so seen in Israel.”

34 But the Pharisees said, “He casteth out the devils through the prince of the devils.”
