Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
24 How countless are your works, Lord!
In wisdom you have made them all;
the earth is full of your creatures.[a](A)
25 Here is the sea, vast and wide,
teeming with creatures beyond number—
living things both large and small.(B)
26 There the ships move about,
and Leviathan, which you formed to play there.(C)
27 All of them wait for you
to give them their food at the right time.(D)
28 When you give it to them,
they gather it;
when you open your hand,
they are satisfied with good things.(E)
29 When you hide your face,
they are terrified;
when you take away their breath,
they die and return to the dust.(F)
30 When you send your breath,[b]
they are created,(G)
and you renew the surface of the ground.(H)
31 May the glory of the Lord endure forever;
may the Lord rejoice in his works.(I)
32 He looks at the earth, and it trembles;
he touches the mountains,
and they pour out smoke.(J)
33 I will sing to the Lord all my life;
I will sing praise to my God while I live.(K)
34 May my meditation be pleasing to him;
I will rejoice in the Lord.(L)
35 May sinners vanish from the earth
and wicked people be no more.(A)
My soul, bless the Lord!
Hallelujah!
Spiritual Blessing
44 “And now listen, Jacob my servant,
Israel whom I have chosen.(A)
2 This is the word of the Lord
your Maker, the one who formed you from the womb:
He will help you.
Do not fear, Jacob my servant,
Jeshurun[a] whom I have chosen.(B)
3 For I will pour water on the thirsty land
and streams on the dry ground;
I will pour out my Spirit(C) on your descendants
and my blessing on your offspring.
4 They will sprout among[b] the grass
like poplars by flowing streams.
7 Don’t be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a person sows he will also reap, 8 because the one who sows to his flesh will reap destruction from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit(A) will reap eternal life(B) from the Spirit. 9 Let us not get tired(C) of doing good,(D) for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us work(E) for the good(F) of all, especially for those who belong to the household(G) of faith.(H)
