97 The Lord reigneth, let the earth rejoice! Let the multitude of isles be glad thereof!

² Clouds and darkness are round about Him; righteousness and judgment are the habitation of His throne.

³ A fire goeth before Him, and burneth up His enemies round about.

⁴ His lightnings enlightened the world; the earth saw and trembled.

⁵ The hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

⁶ The heavens declare His righteousness, and all the people see His glory.

⁷ Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols. Worship Him, all ye gods!

⁸ Zion heard and was glad, and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of Thy judgments, O Lord.

⁹ For Thou, Lord, art high above all the earth; Thou art exalted far above all gods.

¹⁰ Ye that love the Lord, hate evil! He preserveth the souls of His saints; He delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

¹¹ Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

¹² Rejoice in the Lord, ye righteous, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness.

¹² And Moses said unto the Lord, “See, Thou sayest unto me, ‘Bring up this people,’ and Thou hast not let me know whom Thou wilt send with me. Yet Thou hast said, ‘I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in My sight.’

¹³ Now therefore, I pray Thee, if I have found grace in Thy sight, show me now Thy way, that I may know Thee, that I may find grace in Thy sight; and consider that this nation is Thy people.”

¹⁴ And He said, “My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.”

¹⁵ And he said unto Him, “If Thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.

¹⁶ For wherein shall it be known here that I and Thy people have found grace in Thy sight? Is it not in that Thou goest with us? So shall we be separated, I and Thy people, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth.”

¹⁷ And the Lord said unto Moses, “I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken; for thou hast found grace in My sight, and I know thee by name.”

⁶ And he said unto me, “These sayings are faithful and true,” and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show unto His servants the things which must shortly be done.

⁷ “Behold, I come quickly.” Blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

⁸ And I, John, saw these things and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things.

⁹ Then said he unto me, “See that thou do it not, for I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them that keep the sayings of this book. Worship God!”
