³⁶ There was also a certain woman in Joppa, a disciple named Tabitha (which means ‘Dorcas’). She was full of good works and alms which she did.

³⁷ And it so happened in those days that she fell sick and died. And after they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room.

³⁸ Now since Lydda was near Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent two men to him, asking that he not delay in coming to them.

³⁹ Then Peter arose and came with them. And when he had come, they brought him into the upper room, where all the weeping widows stood by him and showed him the coats and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them.

⁴⁰ But Peter put them all out; and kneeled down, and prayed, and turned to the body, and said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes. And when she saw Peter, she sat up.

⁴¹ Then he gave her his hand and lifted her up, and called the saints and widows, and presented her alive.

⁴² And it was known throughout all Joppa. And many believed in the Lord.

⁴³ And it so happened that he stayed in Joppa many days with one Simon, a tanner.

23 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

² He makes me to rest in green pasture and leads me by the still waters.

³ He restores my soul and leads me in the paths of righteousness, for His Name’s sake.

⁴ Indeed, though I should walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. For You are with me. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

⁵ You prepare a table before me in the sight of my adversaries. You anoint my head with oil; and my cup runs over.

⁶ Doubtless, kindness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. And I shall remain in the House of the LORD forever. A Psalm of David.

⁹ After these things I looked. And lo, a great multitude (which no man could number) of all nations and tribes and people and tongues stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with long white robes and palms in their hands.

¹⁰ And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation comes from our God Who sits upon the throne, and from the Lamb.”

¹¹ And all the angels stood around the throne, and around the elders, and the four beasts. And they fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,

¹² Saying, “Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and might be to our God for evermore! Amen!”

¹³ And one of the elders spoke, saying to me, “Who are these who are clothed in long white robes? And from where have they come?”

¹⁴ And I said to him, “Lord, you know.” And he said to me, “These are those who came out of great tribulation and have washed their long robes and have made their long robes white in the blood of the Lamb.

¹⁵ Therefore, they are in the presence of the throne of God and serve Him day and night in His Temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them.

¹⁶ They shall hunger no more, nor thirst anymore, nor shall the Sun fall upon them, nor any heat.

¹⁷ For the Lamb, Who is in the midst of the throne, shall govern them and shall lead them to the lively fountains of waters. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.”

²² And at Jerusalem was the Feast of the Dedication. And it was winter.

²³ And Jesus walked in the Temple, in Solomon’s porch.

²⁴ Then the Jews came around Him, and said to Him, “How long will You hold us in suspense? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.”

²⁵ Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you did not believe it. The works that I do in My Father’s Name, they bear witness of Me.

²⁶ “But you did not believe it. For you are not of My sheep, as I said to you.

²⁷ “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

²⁸ “And I give them eternal life. And they shall never perish, nor shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

²⁹ “My Father, Who gave them to Me, is greater than all. And no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.

³⁰ “I and My Father are One.”
