Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
3 And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; does my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him, for they were terrified at his presence.
4 Then Joseph said unto his brethren, Now come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.
5 Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves that ye sold me here, for God sent me before you for life.
6 For these two years the famine has been in the land, and yet there are five years in which there shall neither be plowing nor harvest.
7 And God sent me before you that you might remain in the earth and that you might be given life by great liberty.
8 So now it was not you that sent me here, but God; and he has made me as a father to Pharaoh and lord of all his house and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.
9 Make haste and go up to my father and say unto him: Thus saith thy son Joseph, God has made me lord of all Egypt; come down unto me, tarry not.
10 And thou shalt dwell in the land of Goshen, and thou shalt be near unto me, thou and thy sons and thy sons’ sons and thy herds and thy cows and all that thou hast.
11 And there I will nourish thee, for yet there are five years of famine, lest thou and thy household and all that thou hast perish of poverty.
15 Moreover he kissed all his brethren and wept upon them, and after that his brethren talked with him.
A Psalm of David.
Aleph
1 ¶ Do not be angry with the evildoers, neither be thou envious of the workers of iniquity.
2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass and wither as the green herb.
Beth
3 Wait in the LORD and do good; live in the land and uphold the truth.
4 In the same manner delight thyself in the LORD, and he shall give thee the desires of thy heart.
Gimel
5 Turn thy way unto the LORD and wait in him, and he shall bring it to pass.
6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light and thy uprightness as the noonday.
Daleth
7 ¶ Be silent before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not be angry with him who prospers in his way, with the man who brings wicked devices to pass.
He
8 Cease from anger and forsake wrath: let not thy wrath in any wise cause you to become evil.
9 For evildoers shall be cut off; but those that wait for the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
Vau
10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be; thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
11 But the meek shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

39 But the salvation of the righteous is the LORD; he is their strength in the time of trouble.
40 And the LORD helped them and delivers them; he shall deliver them from the wicked and save them because they wait in him.
35 ¶ But someone will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not brought to life, unless it dies first;
37 and that which thou sowest, thou sowest not the body that shall be, but bare grain: it may be of wheat or of some other grain;
38 but God gives it a body as it has pleased him, and to each seed its own body.
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, it shall be raised in incorruption;
43 it is sown in dishonour, it shall be raised with glory; it is sown in weakness, it shall be raised with power;
44 it is sown a natural body, it shall be raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a life-giving Spirit.
46 Howbeit the spiritual is not first, but the natural; and afterward, that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord of heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are those also that are earthy; and as is the heavenly, such also are those that are heavenly.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50 Now this I say, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption.
27 ¶ But I say unto you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
28 bless those that curse you, and pray for those who despitefully use you.
29 And unto the one that smites thee on the one cheek offer also the other, and to the one that takes away thy cloak defend not thy coat also.
30 Give to everyone that asks of thee, and of the one that takes away thy goods ask them not to return them.
31 And as ye desire that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
32 For if ye love those who love you, what grace shall ye have? for sinners also love those that love them.
33 And if ye do good to those who do good to you, what grace shall ye have? for sinners also do even the same.
34 And if ye lend to those of whom ye hope to receive, what grace shall ye have? for sinners also lend to sinners to receive as much again.
35 But rather love ye your enemies and do good and lend, hoping for nothing again, and your reward shall be great; and ye shall be the sons of the Most High, for he is kind even unto the unthankful and to the evil.
36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
37 ¶ Judge not, and ye shall not be judged; condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned; forgive, and ye shall be forgiven;
38 give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down and shaken together and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye measure out it shall be measured to you again.
