Version
Psalm 106:1-12

¶ Halelu-JAH. O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good, for his mercy endures for ever.

Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? Who can show forth all his praise?

Happy are those that keep judgment and he that does righteousness at all times.

Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou dost bear unto thy people; O visit me with thy saving health,

that I may see the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.

¶ We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity; we have done wickedly.

Our fathers did not understand thy wonders in Egypt; they did not remember the multitude of thy mercies but rebelled by the sea, even at the Red Sea.

Nevertheless he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.

He reprehended the Red Sea also, and it was dried up, so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.

10 And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

11 And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left.

12 Then they believed his words; they sang his praise.

Judges 5:12-21

12 ¶ Rise up, rise up, Deborah; rise up, rise up, sing a song. Stand up, Barak and lead thy captivity captive, thou son of Abinoam.

13 Now he has made the remnant of the people to have dominion over the magnificent; the LORD made me have dominion over the mighty.

14 Out of Ephraim came his root against Amalek; after thee, came Benjamin, against thy peoples; out of Machir came down princes; and from Zebulun, those that handle the pen of the writer.

15 Also princes of Issachar were with Deborah; and Issachar, like Barak, went on foot into the valley. From the divisions of Reuben, great are the thoughts of the heart.

16 Why didst thou abide among the sheepfolds, to hear the bleatings of the flocks? From the divisions of Reuben great are the searchings of the heart.

17 Gilead remained on the other side of the Jordan, and why did Dan remain next to the ships? Asher continued on the sea shore and remained in his breaches.

18 Zebulun and Naphtali were a people that jeoparded their lives unto the death in the high places of the field.

19 The kings came and fought; then the kings of Canaan fought in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they took no gain of money.

20 They fought from the heavens; the stars from their ways fought against Sisera.

21 The river of Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. Tread down, O my soul, with strength.

1 John 5:13-21

13 These things I have written unto you that believe in the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life and that ye may believe in the name of the Son of God.

14 ¶ And this is the confidence that we have in God, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us:

15 And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we also know that we have the petitions that we asked of him.

16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask God, and he shall give him life that is, unto those that do not sin unto death. There is sin unto death, for which I do not say that you should pray.

17 All unrighteousness is sin, but there is a sin not unto death.

18 ¶ We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he that is begotten of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.

19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in wickedness.

20 But we know that the Son of God is come and has given us understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
