Version
Psalm 127

Prosperity Comes from the Lord.

A Song of Ascents, of Solomon.

127 Unless the Lord (A)builds a house,
They who build it labor in vain;
Unless the Lord (B)guards a city,
The watchman stays awake in vain.
It is futile for you to rise up early,
To [a]stay up late,
To (C)eat the bread of painful labor;
This is how He gives to His (D)beloved (E)sleep.

Behold, (F)children are a [b]gift of the Lord,
The (G)fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a (H)warrior,
So are the children of one’s youth.
(I)Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them;
(J)They will not be ashamed
When they (K)speak with their enemies (L)in the gate.

Ruth 4:11-17

11 And all the people who were [a]in the court, and the elders, said, “We are witnesses. May the Lord make the woman who is coming into your home (A)like Rachel and Leah, both of whom built the house of Israel; and may you achieve [b]wealth in Ephrathah and [c]become famous in Bethlehem. 12 Moreover, may your house be like the house of (B)Perez whom Tamar bore to Judah, through the [d]descendants whom the Lord will give you by this young woman.”

13 So Boaz took Ruth, and she became his wife, and he had relations with her. And (C)the Lord [e]enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son. 14 Then the (D)women said to Naomi, “Blessed is the Lord who has not left you without a redeemer today, and may his name [f]become famous in Israel. 15 May he also be to you one who restores life and sustains your old age; for your daughter-in-law, who loves you [g](E)and is better to you than seven sons, has given birth to him.”

The Line of David

16 Then Naomi took the child and [h]laid him in her lap, and became his nurse. 17 And the neighbor women gave him a name, saying, “A son has been born to Naomi!” So they named him Obed. He is the father of Jesse, the father of David.

Hebrews 9:15-24

15 For this reason (A)He is the (B)mediator of a (C)new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the violations that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been (D)called may (E)receive the promise of (F)the eternal inheritance. 16 For where there is a [a]covenant, there must of necessity [b]be the death of the one who made it. 17 For a [c]covenant is valid only when people are dead, [d]for it is never in force while the one who made it lives. 18 Therefore even the first covenant was not inaugurated without blood. 19 For when every commandment had been (G)spoken by Moses to all the people according to the Law, (H)he took the (I)blood of the calves and the goats, with (J)water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both (K)the book itself and all the people, 20 saying, “(L)This is the blood of the covenant which God commanded you.” 21 And in the same way he (M)sprinkled both the [e]tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry with the blood. 22 And (N)almost all things are cleansed with blood, according to the Law, and (O)without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

23 Therefore it was necessary for the (P)copies of the things in the heavens to be cleansed with these things, but (Q)the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ (R)did not enter a holy place made by hands, a mere copy of (S)the true one, but into (T)heaven itself, now (U)to appear in the presence of God for us;
