Version
Psalm 1

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful;

but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

The ungodly are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Proverbs 30:18-33

18 There are three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not:

19 the way of an eagle in the air, the way of a serpent upon a rock, the way of a ship in the midst of the sea, and the way of a man with a maid.

20 Such is the way of an adulterous woman: she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, “I have done no wickedness.”

21 For three things the earth is disquieted, and for four which it cannot bear:

22 for a servant when he reigneth, and a fool when he is filled with meat,

23 for an odious woman when she is married, and a handmaid who is heir to her mistress.

24 There are four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise:

25 the ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer;

26 the conies are but a feeble folk, yet they make their houses in the rocks;

27 the locusts have no king, yet they go forth, all of them in ranks;

28 the spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings’ palaces.

29 There are three things which go well, yea, four which are comely in their goings:

30 a lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any;

31 a greyhound, a hegoat also, and a king against whom there is no rising up.

32 If thou hast done foolishly in exalting thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, lay thine hand upon thy mouth.

33 Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter, and the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood: so the stirring of wrath bringeth forth strife.

Romans 11:25-32

25 For I, brethren, would not have you be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits: that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.

26 And so all Israel shall be saved, as it is written: “There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob.

27 For this is My covenant unto them when I shall take away their sins.”

28 Concerning the Gospel, they are enemies for your sake; but concerning the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes.

29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

30 For as in times past ye have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief,

31 even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that He might have mercy upon all.
