Names of God Bible (NOG)
Version
Psalm 115

Psalm 115

Don’t give glory to us, O Yahweh.
    Don’t give glory to us.
Instead, give glory to your name
because of your mercy and faithfulness.
Why should other nations say, “Where is their Elohim?”
Our Elohim is in heaven.
    He does whatever he wants.
Their idols are made of silver and gold.
They were made by human hands.[a]
They have mouths, but they cannot speak.
They have eyes, but they cannot see.
They have ears, but they cannot hear.
They have noses, but they cannot smell.
They have hands, but they cannot feel.
They have feet, but they cannot walk.
They cannot even make a sound with their throats.
Those who make idols end up like them.
So does everyone who trusts them.

Israel, trust Yahweh.
He is your helper and your Magen.
10 Descendants of Aaron, trust Yahweh.
He is your helper and your Magen.
11 If you fear Yahweh, trust Yahweh.
He is your helper and your Magen.

12 Yahweh, who is always thinking about us, will bless us.
He will bless the descendants of Israel.
He will bless the descendants of Aaron.
13 He will bless those who fear Yahweh,
from the least important to the most important.
14 May Yahweh continue to bless you and your children.
15 You will be blessed by Yahweh, the maker of heaven and earth.
16 The highest heaven belongs to Yahweh,
but he has given the earth to the descendants of Adam.
17 Those who are dead do not praise Yah,
nor do those who go into the silence of the grave.
18 But we will thank Yah now and forever.

Hallelujah!

Exodus 28:29-38

29 “Whenever Aaron goes into the holy place, he will be carrying the names of the sons of Israel over his heart as a constant reminder in Yahweh’s presence. He must do this by wearing the breastplate for decision-making. 30 Put the Urim and Thummim[a] into the breastplate for decision-making. They, too, will be over Aaron’s heart when he comes into Yahweh’s presence. In this way whenever he’s in Yahweh’s presence, Aaron will always be carrying over his heart the means for determining the Lord’s decisions for the Israelites.

Other Clothes for Aaron and His Sons(A)

31 “Make the robe that is worn with the ephod entirely of violet material. 32 Make an opening for the head in the center with a reinforced edge (like a leather collar[b]) all around it to keep it from tearing. 33 All around the hem of the robe make pomegranates of violet, purple, and bright red yarn with gold bells in between— 34 a gold bell alternating with a pomegranate all around the hem of the robe. 35 Aaron must wear it when he serves as priest. The sound of the bells must be heard when he comes into and goes out of Yahweh’s presence in the holy place so that he won’t die.

36 “Make a flower-shaped medallion out of pure gold, and engrave on it (as on a signet ring): Holy to Yahweh. 37 Fasten a violet cord to it, and tie it so that it’s on the front of the turban. 38 It will be on Aaron’s forehead. He’s the one to be blamed for anything done wrong when the Israelites bring their holy offerings—whatever their gifts may be. The medallion must always be on Aaron’s forehead so that Yahweh will accept their offerings.

Philippians 1:3-11

Paul’s Prayer for the Philippians

I thank my God for all the memories I have of you. Every time I pray for all of you, I do it with joy. I can do this because of the partnership we’ve had with you in the Good News from the first day you believed until now. I’m convinced that God, who began this good work in you, will carry it through to completion on the day of Christ Yeshua. You have a special place in my heart. So it’s right for me to think this way about all of you. All of you are my partners. Together we share God’s favor,[a] whether I’m in prison or defending and confirming the truth of the Good News. God is my witness that, with all the compassion of Christ Yeshua, I long to see every one of you.

I pray that your love will keep on growing because of your knowledge and insight. 10 That way you will be able to determine what is best and be pure and blameless until the day of Christ. 11 Yeshua Christ will fill your lives with everything that God’s approval produces. Your lives will then bring glory and praise to God.
