Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, “Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? Or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man walk?
13 The God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified His Son Jesus, whom ye delivered up, and denied Him in the presence of Pilate when he was determined to let Him go.
14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you,
15 and killed the Prince of Life whom God hath raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.
16 And His name, through faith in His name, hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know. Yea, the faith which is by Him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
17 “And now, brethren, I know that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.
18 But those things which God before had shown by the mouth of all His prophets, that Christ should suffer, He hath thus fulfilled.
19 Repent ye therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
4 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! Thou hast set me at large when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.
2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? How long will ye love vanity and seek after lies? Selah
3 But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for Himself; the Lord will hear when I call unto Him.
4 Stand in awe, and sin not; commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord.
6 There are many that say, “Who will show us any good?” Lord, lift Thou up the light of Thy countenance upon us.
7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time when their corn and wine increased.
8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; for Thou Lord only, makest me dwell in safety.
3 Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God! Therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not.
2 Beloved, now we are the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be; but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.
3 And every man that hath this hope in Him purifieth himself, even as He is pure.
4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law, for sin is the transgression of the law.
5 And ye know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him is no sin.
6 Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not; whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him.
7 Little children, let no man deceive you. He that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous.
36 And as they thus spoke, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them and said unto them, “Peace be unto you.”
37 But they were terrified and afraid, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
38 And He said unto them, “Why are ye troubled, and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
39 Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see Me to have.”
40 And when He had thus spoken, He showed them His hands and His feet.
41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, He said unto them, “Have ye here any meat?”
42 And they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish and of a honeycomb.
43 And He took it and ate before them.
44 And He said unto them, “These are the words which I spoke unto you while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and in the Prophets and in the Psalms concerning Me.”
45 Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the Scriptures,
46 and said unto them, “Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,
47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
