Version
Psalm 102:12-28

12 But You, O Yahweh, [a](A)abide forever,
And the (B)remembrance of Your name [b]from generation to generation.
13 You will (C)arise and have (D)compassion on Zion—
For (E)it is time to be gracious to it,
For the (F)appointed time has come.
14 For Your slaves [c]find pleasure in its stones
And show grace to its dust—
15 [d]So the [e](G)nations will fear the name of Yahweh
And (H)all the kings of the earth Your glory.
16 For Yahweh has (I)built up Zion;
He has (J)appeared in His glory.
17 He has (K)turned toward the prayer of the [f]destitute
And has not despised their prayer.

18 [g]This will be (L)written for the (M)generation to come,
And (N)a people yet to be created will praise Yah.
19 For He (O)looked down from His holy height;
(P)From heaven Yahweh gazed [h]upon the earth,
20 To hear the (Q)groaning of the prisoner,
To (R)set free [i]those who were doomed to death,
21 To (S)recount the name of Yahweh in Zion
And His praise in Jerusalem,
22 When (T)the peoples are gathered together,
And the kingdoms, to serve Yahweh.

23 He has afflicted my strength in the way;
He has (U)shortened my days.
24 I say, “O my God, (V)do not take me away in the [j]midst of my days,
Your (W)years are from generation to all generations.
25 Of old You (X)founded the earth,
And the (Y)heavens are the work of Your hands.
26 [k]Even they will (Z)perish, but You will remain;
And all of them will wear out like a garment;
Like clothing You will change them and they will be changed.
27 But You are [l](AA)the same,
And Your years will not come to an end.
28 The (AB)children of Your slaves will dwell securely,
And their (AC)seed will be established before You.”

Job 6:1-13

Job Answers Eliphaz

Then Job answered and said,

(A)Oh that my vexation were actually weighed
And laid in the balances together with my destruction!
For then it would be (B)heavier than the sand of the seas;
Therefore my words have been rash.
For the (C)arrows of the Almighty are within me,
[a]Their (D)poison my spirit drinks;
The (E)horrors of God are arranged against me.
Does the (F)wild donkey bray over his grass,
Or does the ox low over his fodder?
Can something tasteless be eaten without salt,
Or is there any taste in the slime of a [b]yolk?
My soul (G)refuses to touch them;
They are like loathsome food to me.

“Oh that my request might come to pass,
And that God would grant my hope!
Would that God were (H)willing to crush me,
That He would release His hand and cut me off!
10 But it is still my comfort,
And I rejoice in unsparing pain,
That I (I)have not at all hidden away the words of the Holy One.
11 What is my strength, that I should wait?
And what is my end, that I should [c](J)endure?
12 Is my strength the strength of stones,
Or is my flesh bronze?
13 Is it that there is no (K)help within me,
And that the [d](L)success of sound wisdom is driven from me?

Mark 3:7-12

(A)And Jesus withdrew to the sea with His disciples; and (B)a great multitude from Galilee followed; and from Judea, and from Jerusalem, and from (C)Idumea, and beyond the Jordan, and the vicinity of (D)Tyre and Sidon, a great number of people heard of all that He was doing and came to Him. (E)And He told His disciples that a boat should stand ready for Him because of the crowd, so that they would not crowd Him; 10 for He had (F)healed many, with the result that all those who had (G)afflictions pressed around Him in order to (H)touch Him. 11 And whenever the unclean spirits were seeing Him, they would fall down before Him and cry out, saying, “You are (I)the Son of God!” 12 And He (J)earnestly warned them not to [a]tell who He was.
