⁵ My soul, wait thou only upon God, for my expectation is from Him.

⁶ He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved.

⁷ In God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength and my refuge is in God.

⁸ Trust in Him at all times, ye people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah

⁹ Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie; if weighed in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.

¹⁰ Trust not in oppression, and put not vain hope in robbery; if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.

¹¹ God hath spoken this once, twice have I heard this: that power belongeth unto God.

¹² Also unto Thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy, for Thou renderest to every man according to his work.

¹⁴ Cursed be the day wherein I was born; let not the day wherein my mother bore me be blessed.

¹⁵ Cursed be the man who brought tidings to my father, saying, “A manchild is born unto thee,” making him very glad.

¹⁶ And let that man be as the cities which the Lord overthrew, and repented not; and let him hear the cry in the morning and the shouting at noontide,

¹⁷ because he slew me not from the womb, or that my mother might have been my grave, and her womb to be always great with me.

¹⁸ Why came I forth out of the womb to see labor and sorrow, that my days should be consumed with shame?

¹³ “Woe unto thee, Chorazin! Woe unto thee, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they would have a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

¹⁴ But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the Judgment than for you.

¹⁵ And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shall be thrust down to hell.

¹⁶ He that heareth you heareth Me, and he that despiseth you despiseth Me, and he that despiseth Me despiseth Him that sent Me.”
