Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
A Psalm of David.
1 ¶ The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
2 The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion; rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.
3 Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauty of holiness; as the dew which falls from the womb of the morning, thus shall those who are thine be born unto thee.
4 The LORD has sworn and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
5 ¶ The Lord at thy right hand shall smite the kings in the day of his wrath.
6 He shall judge among the Gentiles; he shall fill their places with dead bodies; he shall wound the head over much of the earth.
7 He shall drink of the brook in the way; therefore he shall lift up his head.
22 ¶ A good reputation is rather to be chosen than great riches and good grace rather than silver and gold.
2 ¶ The rich and poor meet together; the LORD is the maker of them all.
3 ¶ A prudent man foresees the evil and hides himself, but the simple pass on and receive hurt.
4 ¶ Riches and honour and life are the remuneration of humility and of the fear of the LORD.
5 ¶ Thorns and snares are in the way of the perverse; he that keeps his soul shall be far from them.
6 ¶ Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.
7 ¶ The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.
8 ¶ He that sows iniquity shall reap iniquity, and the rod of his anger shall fail.
9 ¶ He that has a merciful eye shall be blessed, for he gives of his bread to the destitute.
27 ¶ But I say unto you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
28 bless those that curse you, and pray for those who despitefully use you.
29 And unto the one that smites thee on the one cheek offer also the other, and to the one that takes away thy cloak defend not thy coat also.
30 Give to everyone that asks of thee, and of the one that takes away thy goods ask them not to return them.
31 And as ye desire that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
