Psalm 90:1-6

BOOK FOUR

Psalms 90–106

The Eternity of God, and Man’s Frailty

A Prayer (A)of Moses the man of God.

90 Lord, (B)You have been our [a]dwelling place in all generations.
(C)Before the mountains were brought forth,
Or ever You [b]had formed the earth and the world,
Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.

You turn man to destruction,
And say, (D)“Return, O children of men.”
(E)For a thousand years in Your sight
Are like yesterday when it is past,
And like a watch in the night.
You carry them away like a flood;
(F)They are like a sleep.
In the morning (G)they are like grass which grows up:
In the morning it flourishes and grows up;
In the evening it is cut down and withers.

Psalm 90:13-17

13 Return, O Lord!
How long?
And (A)have compassion on Your servants.
14 Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy,
(B)That we may rejoice and be glad all our days!
15 Make us glad according to the days in which You have afflicted us,
The years in which we have seen evil.
16 Let (C)Your work appear to Your servants,
And Your glory to their children.
17 (D)And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us,
And (E)establish the work of our hands for us;
Yes, establish the work of our hands.

Deuteronomy 32:1-14

The Song of Moses

32 “Give (A)ear, O heavens, and I will speak;
And hear, O (B)earth, the words of my mouth.
Let (C)my [a]teaching drop as the rain,
My speech distill as the dew,
(D)As raindrops on the tender herb,
And as showers on the grass.
For I proclaim the (E)name of the Lord:
(F)Ascribe greatness to our God.
He is (G)the Rock, (H)His work is perfect;
For all His ways are justice,
(I)A God of truth and (J)without injustice;
Righteous and upright is He.

“They(K) have corrupted themselves;
They are not His children,
Because of their blemish:
A (L)perverse and crooked generation.
Do you thus (M)deal[b] with the Lord,
O foolish and unwise people?
Is He not (N)your Father, who (O)bought you?
Has He not (P)made you and established you?

“Remember(Q) the days of old,
Consider the years of many generations.
(R)Ask your father, and he will show you;
Your elders, and they will tell you:
When the Most High (S)divided their inheritance to the nations,
When He (T)separated the sons of Adam,
He set the boundaries of the peoples
According to the number of the [c]children of Israel.
For (U)the Lord’s portion is His people;
Jacob is the place of His inheritance.

10 “He found him (V)in a desert land
And in the wasteland, a howling wilderness;
He encircled him, He instructed him,
He (W)kept him as the [d]apple of His eye.
11 (X)As an eagle stirs up its nest,
Hovers over its young,
Spreading out its wings, taking them up,
Carrying them on its wings,
12 So the Lord alone led him,
And there was no foreign god with him.

13 “He(Y) made him ride in the heights of the earth,
That he might eat the produce of the fields;
He made him draw honey from the rock,
And oil from the flinty rock;
14 Curds from the cattle, and milk of the flock,
(Z)With fat of lambs;
And rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats,
With the choicest wheat;
And you drank wine, the (AA)blood of the grapes.

Deuteronomy 32:18

18 (A)Of the Rock who begot you, you are unmindful,
And have (B)forgotten the God who fathered you.

Titus 2:7-8

in all things showing yourself to be (A)a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, (B)incorruptibility,[a] sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of [b]you.

Titus 2:11-15

Trained by Saving Grace

11 For (A)the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13 (B)looking for the blessed (C)hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 (D)who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed (E)and purify for Himself (F)His own special people, zealous for good works.

15 Speak these things, (G)exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.
