Psalm 99

Psalm 99

The Lord reigns;
    let the peoples tremble!
He sits enthroned between the cherubim;
    let the earth shake.
The Lord is great in Zion;
    He is high above all the peoples.
Let them praise Your great and awesome name—
    He is holy!

The King’s strength loves justice;
    You establish righteousness,
and You execute judgment
    and fairness in Jacob.
Exalt the Lord our God,
    and worship at His footstool—
    He is holy!

Moses and Aaron were among His priests,
    even Samuel was among them who called upon His name;
they called upon the Lord,
    and He answered them.
He spoke to them in the pillar of cloud;
    they kept His statues and the ordinance that He gave them.

You answered them,
    O Lord our God;
You were a God who forgave them,
    though You took vengeance on their wrongdoing.
Exalt the Lord our God,
    and worship at His holy mountain;
    for the Lord our God is holy!

Exodus 33:7-11

The Tent of Meeting

Moses took the tent and pitched it outside the camp, a good distance from the camp, and called it the tent of meeting. And anyone who sought the Lord would go out to the tent of meeting which was outside the camp. So whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people would rise up and stand, every man at the entrance of his tent, and gaze after Moses until he entered the tent. And whenever Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud descended and stood at the entrance of the tent, and the Lord spoke with Moses. 10 When all the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, all the people rose up and worshipped, every man at the entrance of his tent. 11 The Lord spoke to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend. When he returned to the camp, his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tent.

3 John 9-12

I wrote to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to put himself first among them, did not accept us. 10 Because of this, if I come, I will bring up what kinds of works he does: ranting against us with malicious words. Not content with that, he does not accept the brothers, and stops those who want to, and throws them out of the church.

11 Beloved, do not imitate that which is evil, but that which is good. Whoever does good is from God, but whoever does evil has not seen God. 12 Demetrius receives good reports from everyone and from the truth itself. Yes, and we also testify, and you know that our testimony is true.
