Psalm 99

The King Is Holy

The Lord reigns! Let the peoples tremble.
He is enthroned above the cherubim.(A)
Let the earth quake.(B)
Yahweh is great in Zion;
He is exalted above all the peoples.(C)
Let them praise Your great
and awe-inspiring name.(D)
He is holy.(E)

The mighty King loves justice.
You have established fairness;
You have administered justice
and righteousness in Jacob.(F)
Exalt the Lord our God;
bow in worship at His footstool.(G)
He is holy.(H)

Moses and Aaron were among His priests;(I)
Samuel also was among those calling on His name.
They called to Yahweh and He answered them.(J)
He spoke to them in a pillar of cloud;(K)
they kept His decrees and the statutes He gave them.
Lord our God, You answered them.
You were a forgiving God to them,(L)
an avenger of their sinful actions.(M)

Exalt the Lord our God;
bow in worship at His holy mountain,
for the Lord our God is holy.(N)

Exodus 33:7-11

Now Moses took a tent and set it up outside the camp, far away from the camp; he called it the tent of meeting. Anyone who wanted to consult the Lord would go to the tent of meeting that was outside the camp.(A) Whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people would stand up, each one at the door of his tent, and they would watch Moses until he entered the tent. When Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and remain at the entrance to the tent, and the Lord would speak with Moses.(B) 10 As all the people saw the pillar of cloud remaining at the entrance to the tent, they would stand up, then bow in worship, each one at the door of his tent. 11 The Lord spoke with Moses face to face, just as a man speaks with his friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his assistant, the young man Joshua son of Nun, would not leave the inside of the tent.(C)

3 John 9-12

Diotrephes and Demetrius

I wrote something to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to have first place among them,(A) does not receive us.(B) 10 This is why, if I come, I will remind him of the works he is doing, slandering(C) us with malicious words. And he is not satisfied with that! He not only refuses to welcome the brothers himself, but he even stops those who want to do so and expels them from the church.

11 Dear friend,[a] do not imitate what is evil,(D) but what is good. The one who does good is of God;(E) the one who does evil has not seen God.(F) 12 Demetrius has a good testimony from everyone, and from the truth itself. And we also testify for him, and you know(G) that our testimony is true.(H)
