Version
Psalm 106:1-6

106 Praise the LORD because He is good; for His mercy endures forever!

Who can express the noble acts of the LORD, or proclaim all His praise?

Blessed are those who guard justice and do righteousness at all times.

Remember me, O LORD, with the favor of Your people. Visit me with Your salvation,

so that I may see the good things of Your chosen and rejoice in the joy of Your people, and glory with Your inheritance.

We have sinned with our Fathers. We have committed iniquity and done wickedly.

Psalm 106:19-23

19 They made a calf in Horeb and worshipped the molten image.

20 Thus, they turned their glory into the likeness of a bullock that eats grass.

21 They forgot God their Savior, Who had done great things in Egypt,

22 wondrous works in the land of Ham, and fearful things by the Red Sea.

23 Therefore, He intended to destroy them had not Moses, His chosen, stood in the breach before Him, to turn away His wrath lest He should destroy them.

Exodus 24:9-11

Then Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel went up.

10 And they saw the God of Israel. And under His feet was, as it were, a pavement of sapphire stone, as clear as the sky itself.

11 But He did not lay His hand upon the nobles of the children of Israel. They, also, saw God, and ate and drank.

James 4:4-10

You adulterers and adulteresses, do you not know that the amity of the world is the enmity of God? Therefore, whoever will be a friend of the world, makes himself the enemy of God.

Do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit that dwells in us longs enviously”?

But it offers more grace, and therefore says, “God resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble.

Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners. And purge your hearts, you double-minded.

Suffer afflictions and sorrow, and weep. Let your laughter be turned into mourning, and your joy into heaviness.

10 Cast yourselves down before the Lord, and He will lift you up.
