The Passover Lamb

12 Now the Lord said to Moses and Aaron in the land of [a]Egypt, (A)This month shall be the beginning of months for you; it is to be the first month of the year to you. Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying, ‘On the tenth of this month they are each one to take a [b]lamb for themselves, according to their fathers’ households, a [c]lamb for [d]each household. Now if the household is too small for a [e]lamb, then he and his neighbor nearest to his house are to take one according to the [f]number of persons in them; according to [g]what each man should eat, you are to [h]divide the lamb. Your [i]lamb shall be (B)an unblemished male a year old; you may take it from the sheep or from the goats. [j]You shall keep it until the (C)fourteenth day of the same month, then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel is to kill it [k](D)at twilight. (E)Moreover, they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel [l]of the houses in which they eat it. They shall eat the flesh (F)that same night, (G)roasted with fire, and they shall eat it with (H)unleavened bread [m](I)and bitter herbs. Do not eat any of it raw or boiled at all with water, but rather (J)roasted with fire, both its head and its legs along with (K)its entrails. 10 (L)And you shall not leave any of it over until morning, but whatever is left of it until morning, you shall burn with fire. 11 Now you shall eat it in this manner: with your loins girded, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste—it is (M)the Lord’s Passover. 12 For (N)I will go through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and (O)against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments—(P)I am the Lord. 13 (Q)The blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you [n]live; and when I see the blood I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you [o]to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

Feast of Unleavened Bread

14 ‘Now (R)this day will be (S)a memorial to you, and you shall celebrate it as a feast to the Lord; throughout your generations you are to celebrate it as [p](T)a permanent ordinance.

Psalm 149

Israel Invoked to Praise the Lord.

149 [a]Praise [b]the Lord!
Sing to the Lord a (A)new song,
And His praise (B)in the congregation of the godly ones.
Let Israel be glad in (C)his Maker;
Let the sons of Zion rejoice in their (D)King.
Let them praise His name with (E)dancing;
Let them sing praises to Him with (F)timbrel and lyre.
For the Lord (G)takes pleasure in His people;
He will (H)beautify the afflicted ones with salvation.

Let the (I)godly ones exult in glory;
Let them (J)sing for joy on their beds.
Let the (K)high praises of God be in their [c]mouth,
And a (L)two-edged (M)sword in their hand,
To (N)execute vengeance on the nations
And punishment on the peoples,
To bind their kings (O)with chains
And their (P)nobles with fetters of iron,
To (Q)execute on them the judgment written;
This is an (R)honor for all His godly ones.
[d]Praise [e]the Lord!

Romans 13:8-14

Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for (A)he who loves [a]his neighbor has fulfilled the law. For this, “(B)You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying, “(C)You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love [b]does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore (D)love is the fulfillment of the law.

11 Do this, knowing the time, that it is (E)already the hour for you to (F)awaken from sleep; for now [c]salvation is nearer to us than when we believed. 12 (G)The night is almost gone, and (H)the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside (I)the deeds of darkness and put on (J)the armor of light. 13 Let us [d](K)behave properly as in the day, (L)not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy. 14 But (M)put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh (N)in regard to its lusts.

Matthew 18:15-20

Discipline and Prayer

15 (A)If your brother sins[a], go and [b]show him his fault [c]in private; if he listens to you, you have won your brother. 16 But if he does not listen to you, take one or two more with you, so that (B)by the mouth of two or three witnesses every [d]fact may be confirmed. 17 If he refuses to listen to them, (C)tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, (D)let him be to you as [e]a Gentile and [f]a tax collector. 18 Truly I say to you, (E)whatever you [g]bind on earth [h]shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you [i]loose on earth [j]shall have been loosed in heaven.

19 “Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, (F)it shall be done for them [k]by My Father who is in heaven. 20 For where two or three have gathered together in My name, (G)I am there in their midst.”
