Psalm 105:1-6

Praise to Yahweh for His Work on Behalf of Israel

105 Give thanks to Yahweh; proclaim his name;
make known his deeds among the peoples.
Sing to him; sing praises concerning him;
tell of all his wonderful works.
Boast about his holy name.
Let the heart of those who seek Yahweh rejoice.
Make supplication to Yahweh and his might;
seek his face continually.
Remember his wonders that he has done,
his signs and the judgments of his mouth,
O offspring of Abraham his servant,
you descendants[a] of Jacob, his chosen ones.

Psalm 105:23-26

23 Then Israel came to Egypt,
and Jacob was a sojourner in the land of Ham.
24 And he[a] made his people very fruitful.
He also made them[b] stronger than their[c] enemies.
25 He turned their heart to hate his people,
to deal deceitfully against his servants.
26 He sent his servant Moses,
together with Aaron whom he had chosen.

Psalm 105:45

45 so that they might observe his statutes,
and keep his laws.
Praise Yah.[a]

Exodus 3:16-22

16 Go and gather the elders of Israel and say to them, ‘Yahweh, the God of your ancestors,[a] appeared to me, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, “I have carefully attended to you and what has been done to you in Egypt.” 17 And I said, “I will bring you up from the misery of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites[b] and the Hittites[c] and the Amorites[d] and the Perizzites[e] and the Hivites[f] and the Jebusites,[g] to a land flowing with milk and honey.”’ 18 And they will listen to your voice, and you will go, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt, and you will say to him, ‘Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews has met with us, and now let us please go on a journey of three days into the desert, and let us sacrifice to Yahweh our God.’

19 But I myself know that the king of Egypt will not allow you to go unless compelled by a strong hand.[h] 20 And I will stretch out my hand, and I will strike Egypt with all of my wonders that I will do in its midst, and afterward[i] he will release you. 21 And I will give this people favor in the eyes of the Egyptians, and then[j] when you go, you will not go empty-handed. 22 And a woman will ask from her neighbor and from the woman dwelling as an alien in her house for objects of silver and objects of gold and garments, and you will put them on your sons and on your daughters; and you will plunder Egypt.”

2 Thessalonians 2:7-12

For the mystery of lawlessness is at work already; only the one who now restrains[a] will do so until he is out of the way,[b] and then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will slay with the breath of his mouth, and wipe out by the appearance of his coming, whose coming is in accordance with the working of Satan, with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 and with every unrighteous deception against those who are perishing, in place of which they did not accept the love of the truth, so that they would be saved. 11 And because of this, God sends them a powerful delusion[c] so that they will believe the lie, 12 in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth, but delighted in unrighteousness.
