Psalm 105

God’s Faithfulness to His People

Give thanks to Yahweh, call on His name;
proclaim His deeds among the peoples.(A)
Sing to Him, sing praise to Him;
tell about all His wonderful works!(B)
Honor His holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek Yahweh rejoice.(C)
Search for the Lord and for His strength;
seek His face always.(D)
Remember the wonderful works He has done,
His wonders, and the judgments He has pronounced,[a](E)
you offspring of Abraham His servant,
Jacob’s descendants—His chosen ones.(F)

Psalm 105:23-26

23 Then Israel went to Egypt;
Jacob lived as a foreigner in the land of Ham.[a](A)
24 The Lord[b] made His people very fruitful;
He made them more numerous than their foes,(B)
25 whose hearts He turned to hate His people
and to deal deceptively with His servants.(C)
26 He sent Moses His servant,
and Aaron, whom He had chosen.(D)

Psalm 105:45

45 All this happened
so that they might keep His statutes
and obey His instructions.(A)
Hallelujah!

Exodus 2:23-24

23 After a long time, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned because of their difficult labor, and they cried out;(A) and their cry for help ascended to God because of the difficult labor. 24 So God heard their groaning, and He remembered(B) His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.(C)

Ephesians 5:1-6

Therefore, be imitators of God, as dearly loved children. And walk in love, as the Messiah also loved us and gave Himself for us,(A) a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God. But sexual immorality(B) and any impurity(C) or greed(D) should not even be heard of[a] among you, as is proper for saints. Coarse and foolish talking or crude joking are not suitable, but rather giving thanks. For know and recognize this: Every sexually immoral(E) or impure(F) or greedy(G) person, who is an idolater, does not have an inheritance in the kingdom(H) of the Messiah and of God.

Light versus Darkness

Let no one deceive you with empty arguments, for God’s wrath(I) is coming on the disobedient because of these things.[b]
