Version
Psalm 47

Psalm 47

For the choir director; a psalm by Korah’s descendants.

Clap your hands, all you people.
Shout to Elohim with a loud, joyful song.
We must fear Yahweh, Elyon.
He is the great Melek of the whole earth.
He brings people under our authority
and puts nations under our feet.
He chooses our inheritance for us,
the pride of Jacob, whom he loved. Selah

Elohim has gone up with a joyful shout.
Yahweh has gone up with the sound of a ram’s horn.
Make music to praise Elohim.
    Play music for him!
Make music to praise our Melek.
        Play music for him!
Elohim is the Melek of the whole earth.
Make your best music for him!
Elohim rules the nations.
Elohim sits upon his holy throne.

The influential people from the nations gather together
as the people of the Elohim of Abraham.
The rulers of the earth belong to Elohim.
    He rules everything.

Isaiah 51:1-3

The Lord Will Save His People

51 Listen to me, you people who pursue what is right and seek Yahweh.
Look to the rock from which you were cut
and to the quarry from which you were dug.
Look to Abraham, your ancestor,
and to Sarah, from whom you are descended.
When I called Abraham, he was childless.
I blessed him and gave him many descendants.
So Yahweh will comfort Zion.
He will comfort all those who live among its ruins.
He will make its desert like Eden.
He will make its wilderness like the garden of Yahweh.
Joy and gladness will be found in it,
thanksgiving and the sound of singing.

Matthew 11:20-24

Jesus Warns Chorazin, Bethsaida, and Capernaum

20 Then Yeshua denounced the cities where he had worked most of his miracles because they had not changed the way they thought and acted. 21 “How horrible it will be for you, Chorazin! How horrible it will be for you, Bethsaida! If the miracles worked in you had been worked in Tyre and Sidon, they would have changed the way they thought and acted long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22 I can guarantee that judgment day will be better for Tyre and Sidon than for you. 23 And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted to heaven? No, you will go down to hell! If the miracles that had been worked in you had been worked in Sodom, it would still be there today. 24 I can guarantee that judgment day will be better for Sodom than for you.”
