13 How long will You forget me, O LORD? Forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?

² How long shall I take counsel within myself, having weariness daily in my heart? How long shall my enemy be exalted above me?

³ Behold. Hear me, O LORD, my God. Enlighten my eyes, so that I do not sleep in death,

⁴ lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed against him.” And those who afflict me rejoice when I slide.

⁵ But I trust in Your mercy. My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the LORD, because He has dealt lovingly with me. To him who excels: A Psalm of David.

²³ So he went up from there to Beersheba.

²⁴ And the LORD appeared to him the same night, and said, “I am the God of Abraham, your father. Do not fear. I am with you and will bless you and multiply your seed for My servant, Abraham’s, sake.”

²⁵ Then he built an altar there and called upon the Name of the LORD and spread his tent there (where also Isaac’s servants had dug a well).

17 Then He said to His disciples, “It is impossible for stumbling blocks not to come. But, but woe to him by whom they come.

² “It would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.

³ “Pay attention to yourselves. If your brother trespasses against you, rebuke him. And if he repents, forgive him.

⁴ “And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turns again to you, saying, ‘I repent’, you shall forgive him.”
