Version
Psalm 13

13 How long will You forget me, O LORD? Forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?

How long shall I take counsel within myself, having weariness daily in my heart? How long shall my enemy be exalted above me?

Behold. Hear me, O LORD, my God. Enlighten my eyes, so that I do not sleep in death,

lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed against him.” And those who afflict me rejoice when I slide.

But I trust in Your mercy. My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the LORD, because He has dealt lovingly with me. To him who excels: A Psalm of David.

2 Chronicles 20:5-12

And Jehoshaphat stood in the Congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the House of the LORD, in front of the new court,

and said, “O LORD God of our fathers! Are You not God in Heaven? And do You not reign over all the kingdoms of the heathen? And in Your Hand is power and might! And no one is able to withstand You.

“Did not You, our God, cast out the inhabitants of this land before Your people Israel and give it to the seed of Abraham, Your friend, forever?

“And they dwelt in it, and have built You a Sanctuary in it for Your Name, saying,

‘if misery comes upon us as the sword of judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we will stand before this House, and in Your presence (for Your Name is in this House), and will cry to You in our tribulation. And You will hear and help.’

10 “And now behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir, by whom You would not let Israel go when they came out of the land of Egypt, they have turned aside from them and have not destroyed them.

11 “Behold, I say, they reward us by coming to cast us out of Your inheritance which You have caused us to inherit.

12 “O, our God! Will You not judge them? For there is no strength in us before this great multitude that comes against us, nor do we know what to do! But our eyes are toward You.”

Galatians 5:7-12

You were running well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth?

It is not the persuasion of the One who calls you.

A little leaven leavens the whole lump.

10 I have confidence in you, through the Lord, that you will be single-minded. But he who troubles you shall bear condemnation, whoever he might be.

11 And I, brothers, if I still preach circumcision, why do I still suffer persecution? Then the stumbling block of the cross is abolished.

12 I even wish those who disquiet you would emasculate themselves.
