13 How long will You forget me, O LORD? Forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?

² How long shall I take counsel within myself, having weariness daily in my heart? How long shall my enemy be exalted above me?

³ Behold. Hear me, O LORD, my God. Enlighten my eyes, so that I do not sleep in death,

⁴ lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed against him.” And those who afflict me rejoice when I slide.

⁵ But I trust in Your mercy. My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the LORD, because He has dealt lovingly with me. To him who excels: A Psalm of David.

¹⁸ Who is a God like You, Who takes away iniquity and passes over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage! He does not retain His wrath forever, because mercy pleases Him.

¹⁹ He will turn again and have compassion upon us. He will subdue our iniquities and cast all their sins into the bottom of the sea.

²⁰ You will perform truth to Jacob, mercy to Abraham, as You have sworn to our fathers in days of old.

² Behold, I, Paul, say to you, that if you shall become circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

³ For I testify again to every man who is circumcised, that he is under obligation to keep the whole Law.

⁴ You are severed from Christ. Whoever is justified by the Law, you are fallen from grace.

⁵ For we, through the Spirit, wait for the hope of righteousness through faith.

⁶ For in Jesus Christ, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith (which works by love).
