Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
86 Bow down Your ear, O LORD, and hear me; for I am poor and needy.
2 Preserve my soul, for I am merciful. My God, save Your servant who trusts in You.
3 Be merciful to me, O LORD, for I cry upon You continually.
4 Rejoice the soul of Your servant. For to You, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.
5 For You, LORD, are good and merciful and of great kindness to all those who call upon You.
6 Give ear, LORD, to my prayer and pay attention to the voice of my supplication.
7 In the day of my trouble, I will call upon You; for You hear me.
8 Among the gods there is none like You, O LORD; and there are none like Your works.
9 All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O LORD, and shall glorify Your Name.
10 For You are great and do wondrous things. You are God, alone.
3 “Speak, and say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, I come against you, Pharaoh, king of Egypt, the great dragon who lies in the midst of his rivers, who has said, ‘The river is mine and I have made it for myself.’
4 “But I will put hooks in your jaws; and I will cause the fish of your rivers to stick to your scales; and I will draw you out of the midst of your rivers; and all the fish of your rivers shall stick to your scales.
5 “And I will leave you in the wilderness, you and all the fish of your rivers. You shall fall upon the open field. You shall neither be brought together nor gathered. I have given you as food to the beasts of the field and to the birds of the sky.
6 “And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the LORD, because they have been but a staff of reed to the House of Israel.
7 “When they took hold of you with their hand, you broke and tore all their shoulders. And when they leaned upon you, you broke and made all their loins stand upright.”
53 And as He said these things to them, the scribes and Pharisees began to plead with Him angrily, and to provoke Him to speak of many things,
54 lying in wait for Him, seeking to catch something from His mouth by which they might accuse Him.
12 In the meantime, there gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, so that they trampled one another. And He began to say to His disciples first, “Beware the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
2 “For there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed or hidden that shall not be known.
3 “Therefore, whatever you have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light. And that which you have spoken in the ear, in secret places, shall be preached on the houses.
