Psalm 86:1-10

Psalm 86

A prayer by David.

Turn your ear toward me, O Yahweh.
Answer me, because I am oppressed and needy.
Protect me, because I am faithful to you.
Save your servant who trusts you. You are my Elohim.
Have pity on me, O Adonay,
because I call out to you all day long.
Give me joy, O Adonay,
because I lift my soul to you.
You, O Adonay, are good and forgiving,
full of mercy toward everyone who calls out to you.
Open your ears to my prayer, O Yahweh.
Pay attention when I plead for mercy.
When I am in trouble, I call out to you
    because you answer me.

No god is like you, O Adonay.
No one can do what you do.
All the nations that you have made
will bow in your presence, O Adonay.
        They will honor you.
10 Indeed, you are great, a worker of miracles.
    You alone are Elohim.

Ezekiel 29:3-7

Tell him, ‘This is what Adonay Yahweh says:

I’m against you, Pharaoh, king of Egypt.
You are like a monster crocodile lying in the Nile River.
You say, “The Nile River is mine. I made it for myself.”

“‘I will put hooks in your jaws
and make the fish in the Nile River stick to your scales.
I will pull you out of your river
with all the fish in the Nile sticking to your scales.
I will leave you in the desert, you and all the fish from the Nile.
You will fall in an open field.
No one will pick you up or bury you.
I will feed you to wild animals and birds.
Then all those living in Egypt will know that I am Yahweh.
Egypt, you have become like a broken walking stick
    to the nation of Israel.
When Israel grabbed you, you splintered and tore up their shoulders.
When they leaned on you, you broke, and they wrenched their backs.

Luke 11:53-12:3

53 When Yeshua left, the experts in Moses’ Teachings and the Pharisees held a terrible grudge against him. They questioned him about many things 54 and watched him closely to trap him in something he might say.

Jesus Speaks to His Disciples

12 Meanwhile, thousands of people had gathered. They were so crowded that they stepped on each other. Yeshua spoke to his disciples and said, “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees. I’m talking about their hypocrisy. Nothing has been covered that will not be exposed. Whatever is secret will be made known. Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight. Whatever you have whispered in private rooms will be shouted from the housetops.
